The fans were heard in the clip asking the under-fire boss to ‘leave’ Arsenal after their worst start to a season in their 118-year history.

Arsenal suffered another Premier League loss on Sunday afternoon after goals from Romelu Lukaku and Reece James saw the visitors walk away with three points.

The result was Arsenal’s second loss of the campaign, after a shocking performance against Brentford in the opening week saw them lose 2-0.

Arteta’s side have failed to pick up any points or score any goals in their opening two fixtures – making it their worst start to a season in 118 years.

Fans have now made their feelings known on the situation, booing their own players off the pitch at both the half time and full time whistle across two consecutive weekends.

They have also approached the manager directly to discuss the situation and ask him to ‘do yourself a favour’ by resigning.

Following Arsenal’s home game against Chelsea, Arteta was harassed by a group of fans who rushed to his car outside the Emirates.

The fans tried their hardest to prevent him from leaving the club as they stood around his car before then asking if he thought Arsenal’s performance was ‘good enough’.

The group of lads were also heard saying: ‘Arteta, do yourself a favour and leave the club’ before security guards told them to leave the area.

The manager, who was sat inside the silver car, chose not respond to the fans’ demands, keeping his car window up the whole time before then using his horn to try and get them to move.

The video – which was shared on social media with the caption ‘These performances are not good enough’ – has gone on to have over 9,000 likes and 700 comments.

Arteta then shared his thoughts on Arsenal’s performance after the game in his post-match interview.

He said: ‘Chelsea deserved to win, I think they were the better side overall. We had moments at the start of the first half and at the beginning of the second half.

‘After conceding the goal they started to manage the game exactly how they wanted. When we had them in good areas and without the ball with our press they still managed to come out with the incredible quality that they have.

‘They showed in moments why they are the champions of the Champions League.

‘What I liked about the team is that at 2-0 they never gave up, they tried right up to 90 minutes.

‘With our limitations, because at the moment we are missing eight or nine players.

‘I’m sad. Sad for the fans because we really wanted to give them something special today. Even though we know the circumstances we have with the team at the moment, and not being able to do that and enjoy this moment with them is sad.’

Arteta will be hoping to pick up give the fans something to cheer about when Arsenal play their Carabo Cup match away at West Brom on Wednesday night.

Arsenal will then face reigning Premier League champions Manchester City in an early kick-off on Saturday.

@CheesyBanjo: Arsenal fans really are an embarrassment #Blud #Fam

@yoblask: What do these idiots expect from a team with bang average players? It’s not the manager’s fault that the owners don’t want to recruit quality players.

@JeanPierre_IV: What’s the point of this? Embarrassing imo

@GazOz94: Brutal this

@mike_adama: Absolutely ridiculous. Disgraceful.

@SwindlehurstJ: Arsenal are such an embarrassing team.

@MimsThaWord: My favorite is “It’s not good enough!” Like Arteta doesn’t know that the team isn’t playing well! These bums are morons! Bad banter and a tough look to film someone in their car, while you are moaning about outside!

@1878Scotto: Arsenal fans are embarrassing!

@utdmu20: This is disgusting. Idiots.

@jeffbarrow81: I have to say that Arsenal fan ranting like a baby in his car is brilliant. Arsenal Fan TV has been comedy gold now for a decade. These unhinged extremists at least bring some comedy value to PL even if the PL has nothing else. Arteta In!

@joeyboo007:
Edu’s daughter getting abuse on Insta
Player getting abuse before he’s even signed
‘Supporters’ shouting abuse at Arteta’s car
And some cock trying to get Twitter famous by ‘ranting’
Arsenal fan base isn’t just toxic, it’s pathetic
