Unhappy St Johnstone fan goes viral after what he said around Motherwell TV commentator

An unhappy St Johnstone fan goes viral after what he said around an Motherwell TV commentator after Motherwell’s late winner.

Motherwell earn a late victory in stoppage-time away at St Johnstone with Moses Ebiye scoring in the 94th minute after Benji Kimpioka cancelled out Dan Casey’s opener at McDiarmid Park.

A commentator was left stunned by what he had heard coming from the home fans near him after Motherwell snatched all three points.

Commentator: Unbelievable. Motherwell win it right at the death. Brilliant! Brilliant! St Johnstone fans not happy in front of me. I don’t care.

A St Johnstone fan in the background was then caught saying: “See that microphone? Iā€™m gonna shove that so far up your arse youā€™ll never be able to get the fucker out! You ever talk to me like that again you little…ā€

Commentator: “St Johnstone fans absolutely delighted. I hope you picked that up. Ridiculous.”

@luke_irons_4, the commentator, tweeted: “Up there with one of my favourite afternoons on the mic šŸ¤£šŸ‘šŸ»”

@scott_gibson_ added: “I can confirm @luke_irons_4 is fine and is celebrating a good win. Carried himself with absolute class despite some of the stuff getting said to him šŸ‘ The abuse has been reported, not sure why four gentleman thought it was ok to have a go at a commentator but there we go.”

Motherwell have picked up six points from their last two league games, meaning they’ve climbed to fourth in the Premiership, temporarily ahead of the rest of the weekend’s matches.

Motherwell boss Stuart Kettlewell said after the game, per Daily Record: ā€œIt was a trait weā€™ve had for the last 19 months or so that Iā€™ve been here as a manager that we do score a lot of late goals, and weā€™re going to need that over the course of the season.

ā€œItā€™s a brilliant way to celebrate, going into the international break, but weā€™re going to need more of that, going into the season, no doubt.

ā€œItā€™s great. Genuinely, you see the elation from myself, the staff and my players, and especially supporters ā€“ itā€™s a great way to enjoy your weekend.

ā€œWe stuck with it, we believed that we could get a winner, and I think you could see that in the changes we and St Johnstone made ā€“ both teams were trying to win the game.

ā€œBut itā€™s a brilliant feeling for us at our club, it keeps that wee bit of consistency going from us.

ā€œMoses is that laid-back, but he got the final touch on it, and thatā€™s what we thought we were bringing to the club, someone who sniffs out a chance, sniffs out a goal, and heā€™s done it a few times for us already.

ā€œAgain, weā€™re going to need more of that from him over the course of the season.ā€

St Johnstone boss Craig Levein said post match, per the Courier: ā€œIt was hugely frustrating because I thought we played well in spells when we had the ball and did a lot of the things weā€™re trying to do.

ā€œWeā€™ve got the goal back and have a chance in the game then weā€™ve not defended a set-piece properly.

ā€œItā€™s one of the most basic things in football.

ā€œWe have players who are capable of making first contact, which is the thing that helps you defensively.

ā€œBut we just made a backside of it today.

ā€œIf we were playing s*** I wouldnā€™t mind so much because Iā€™d go home and just think weā€™re not very good.

ā€œBut thatā€™s not what Iā€™m seeing on the training ground or for long spells in games.

ā€œLast week we lost a set-piece goal and thatā€™s two again today.

ā€œSo we can go on the training ground to work on that side of things, but genuinely, a lot of the time defending set-pieces comes down to a desire to get to the ball first.

ā€œRoss made two good saves from set-pieces and I donā€™t remember him having to make one from open play.

ā€œIt was all from set-pieces or the aftermath.ā€

There was plenty of reaction online as the unhappy St Johnstone fan goes viral after what he said around a Motherwell TV commentator…

@barrypaton21: See that there, that’s what it’s all about, one boy delighted the other devastated. Absolutely nothing wrong with that at all

@Rangers_View: That is sensational šŸ˜‚

@sandinistian: Honestly, in tears here. Thank you.. šŸ˜‚

@Macca87: Yet again, Scottish fitba is unrivalled.

@LeroiJackson16: SPFL heritage that

@stevengrant3: Scottish football at its best

@grantrussell_: Get it right up him. Not the microphone, just for clarity.

@jmcoxford: Scottish football at its best

@JimHearson: The good thing about shoving a microphone up someone’s arse is it’s probably wired, so you can pull on the cable like Ariadne’s Thread.

@MARKOCO24434497: This is fantastic… Instead of addressing the disgruntled St Johnstone fan, he simply commentates on him!! šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

@Beverley1886: Love this! šŸ§”šŸ§”šŸ§”

@danieloverett_: Scottish football is unrivalled for patter hahahahahahaah

@PanchosNachos: Happens every time we go there and score, same guy and his four pals (and young grandson) just angry at everything. Totally unacceptable and embarrassing really, although it does make the 3 points even sweeter šŸ˜Ž
