Two hugely experienced managers were spotted at Blundell Park this week as Grimsby Town’s search for new boss continues.
The Mariners are currently looking for a new boss following the departure of Michael Jolley last Friday after his rant on Radio Humberside saw him swear 58 times in four minutes.
Danny Wilson was one of those captured on camera by Grimsby Live (as seen below) and the other is Dave Jones, both were watching Grimsby reserves against Walsall reserves this week.

59 year old Wilson, has managed Bristol City, MK Dons, Hartlepool, Swindon, Sheffield United, Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday and Chesterfield.
It is understood that 63 year old Jones, the former manager of Stockport, Southampton, Wolves, Cardiff, Sheffield Wednesday and Hartlepool, was interviewed for the manager’s job at Grimsby during a previous recruitment process.

More recently Jones was a consultant at Bury, however as we all know, they got kicked out of the EFL and look like they will have to start a new phoenix club further down the English football pyramid.
Grimsby Live suggest they both could simply have been keeping tabs on players as part of scouting work, however with the job available, they could look to get themselves back into management.
