Burton Albion are still working on a final loan before the transfer window closes. Nigel Clough said “We’ve got 48 hours to try to get one in, so we’ve got a few calls in. As you get closer to the deadline, I think you’ve got a better chance of getting them. “Clubs will say, ‘have we got any injuries, how’s our squad looking, can we let somebody out?’ So we’ll keep trying.”

– A striker is likely to be on Gary Bowyer’s radar as the Bradford City boss tries to add to his 13 signings before the transfer window shuts.

– Ryan Lowe has confirmed there will be no more additions to his Plymouth Argyle squad, however did reveal there could be as many as three players leaving the Pilgrims. “We are done now. We have more or less got one done that is going out, and then possibly two more, we are just waiting, but we are done for incomings, we will be fine.”

Swindon Town manager Richie Wellens admits he might have to dip into the loan market to secure genuine competition for goalkeeper Luke McCormick before the summer transfer window closes today. “I think we need a goalkeeper now because I need to push Luke and I want competition. My idea all through pre-season was not to go anywhere near a loan goalkeeper, but the ones out there are either not good enough in my eyes or they’re too expensive. So it looks like we might have to dabble with the loan market.”

West Ham centre-back Ajibola Alese is set to join League One side Accrington on loan until January.
