– Cardiff boss Neil Harris says the club are working “every hour,” to bolster their squad but the Bluebirds “are not going to overpay,” for players. They have yet to sign a player this month and have cooled their interest in Wales striker Kieffer Moore after Wigan turned down a £2.3m bid.
– Leeds United believe they have been priced out of a move for Andre Gray this month by his club Watford, Football Insider understands. Nottingham Forest are keen in signing him. – Everton have reportedly contacted Leeds to offer Oumar Niasse on loan, thats according to Football Insider, who claim that Everton are willing to loan him out for the rest of the season, with his contract expiring in the summer.
– Phil Parkinson expects Sunderland to hold talks with Jon McLaughlin over a new contract when the transfer window closes.
– Marcus Maddison is ‘still talking’ to Charlton Athletic, claims Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony. Birmingham also interested but Maddison and his representative are still discussing a transfer to Charlton. “I’m told his agent (is) still talking with them etc (for the) last couple of days,” MacAnthony told his Twitter followers.
– Ben Brereton has been the subject of loan interest, with Dutch side ADO Den Haag among his suitors, but Blackburn Rovers aren’t in a rush to see the 20-year-old depart.
