Leeds United have not made a big money bid to land hitman Andrea Petagna this summer, despite claims in Italy of a €15m offer from the Yorkshire giants.

Reading are among a number of club weighing up a move for Northampton goalkeeper David Cornell.

Rotherham United have lodged a £300,000 bid for Leyton Orient defender Marvin Ekpiteta.

Oxford United are set to strengthen before their opening League One fixture against Sunderland after agreeing a fee with Leicester City for Elliott Moore, according to Sky Sports.

Leeds United have agreed to sell goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell to Burnley.

Charlton, Swansea City and Wigan have made loan enquiries for Chelsea youngster Conor Gallagher.

Middlesbrough are in talks to sign free agent Alan Hutton to solve their right-back problems. Boro boss Jonathan Woodgate and assistant manager Robbie Keane played with Hutton during their time together at Tottenham.

Stoke City are plotting a move to sign Newcastle United defender Ciaran Clark as replacement for the injured Ryan Shawcross. Bristol City and Crystal Palace are also keen.

Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer had a medical at Bristol City yesterday ahead of a move back to Ashton Gate.

Swansea City struggling to offload Andre Ayew, no interest from other clubs.
