Manchester United have made a £12.5m bid for Birmingham City youngster Jude Bellingham. It’s understood he’s in no rush to leave his boyhood club. Reports elsewhere claim Wolves also have their eye on him.

A number of Championship clubs including West Brom, Leeds and Nottingham Forest have been given a boost after a report revealed Newcastle are willing to allow Dwight Gayle to leave on loan, providing a “£20million obligation to buy” is inserted into the terms.

Ipswich Town are set to sign Everton’s young centre-back Lewis Gibson on loan.

Celtic have made a move to sign Tottenham attacker Jack Clarke after learning he will be allowed to leave this month, Football Insider reveal. QPR, Nottingham Forest and Derby County are all still in the race too.

– According to Football Insider, Manchester United’s interest in Leeds United pair Kalvin Phillips and Ben White has not disappeared, with the Old Trafford club said to be just biding their time until the summer to make an offer for the both of them.

Sunderland manager Phil Parkinson has ruled out a move for free agent striker Gary Madine.

– According to The Sun on Sunday, Brighton and Hove Albion will let Glenn Murray leave in the January transfer window. Nottingham Forest can have him for free, but if Newcastle United want him, they’ll need to pay £500,000.
