• West Brom are in talks to sign Huddersfield Town forward Karlan Grant. The £16million-rated 22-year-old scored 19 times in the Championship last season.
• Ipswich have rejected two bids from a Premier League club for midfielder Flynn Downes. The League One side are keen for the 21-year-old to stay but would not stand in his way if they received the right offer, with Crystal Palace reportedly the interested top-flight side.
• Tottenham are in talks to sign Bournemouth striker Josh King, and West Ham target Callum Wilson, however he wants to join Newcastle United this summer instead, Aston Villa also have had talks about bringing him to Villa Park.
• Aston Villa and Leeds United-linked defender Rico Henry is “expected to leave” Brentford this summer. £10m-rated Brentford ace is set to be in high-demand, as he looks to secure Premier League football. (The 72)
• Blackburn Rovers are believed to be interested in signing ex-Lyon and Charlton Athletic defender Naby Sarr. The former France U21 international was released by the Addicks earlier in the month. (The Sun)
• Arsenal’s hopes of luring Brentford ‘keeper David Raya to the club look to have taken a blow, as La Liga side Villareal have been tipped to sign the stopper if they can’t land Granada’s Rui Silva. (Sport Witness)
• Preston North End winger Josh Ginnelly is said to be a key target of Scottish side Hearts. The 23-year-old could well leave Deepdale this summer in the pursuit of first-team football. (Scotsman)
• West Brom target Troy Deeney is set for “crunch talks” with his club Watford, and a meeting this week could determine whether the Baggies target is allowed to depart in the current transfer window. (Sky Sports)
• Sheffield Wednesday defender Joost van Aken has been tipped to remain at Hillsborough beyond the current transfer window, and could be given another chance to impress in Garry Monk’s back three. (The Star)
• Middlesbrough are said to have no intentions of sending in-demand winger Marcus Browne out on loan this season, as the ex-West Ham man is set to play a “major role” for Boro in the upcoming campaign. Not what Oxford wanted to hear after having on loan last season. (Northern Echo)
• Birmingham City’s hunt for further reinforcement in goal has seen them take an interest in ex-Reading goalkeeper Liam Driscoll. The 21-year-old has joined the club on trial with an eye to a permanent move. (Birmingham Mail)
• Aston Villa are set to beat the likes of Leeds, West Ham, Sheffield United and Fulham to the signature of Nottingham Forest’s rising star, Matty Cash. The Independent have claimed that personal terms between Villa and Cash have been finalised as the Midlands outfit will play up to £15 million for his services.
• Norwich City and Nottingham Forest have approached Burnley about Ben Gibson’s availability this summer, however it’s understood that Middlesbrough haven’t made an offer to the Clarets about a return for the Teessider. Watford have had trouble trying to bring him in this summer.
• Huddersfield Town are reportedly interested in signing 22 year old Espanyol defender Pipa, according to Spanish publication Pericos Online.
• Bristol City’s Liam Walsh is not thought to be a serious summer transfer target for Coventry City this window right now, according to Coventry Live.
• Following his release from Blackpool, Grimsby Live has reported that Grimsby Town are in talks to sign ex-Huddersfield Town and Bradford City man Sean Scannell.
• Steve Cooper, Swansea City boss, has confirmed that more exits are expected from the club in a bid to reduce the wage bill. It’s understood he is still in the market for a striker and a centre-back.
• West Brom appear to have hit a stumbling block in their pursuit of Wigan Athletic defender Cedric Kipre. It has been reported for nearly a week now that the Baggies had reached an agreement with the cash-strapped Latics for the 23-year-old. Personal terms thought to be slowing the deal down.
• Lincoln City are close to beating Championship opposition to the signature of exciting striker Callum Morton, as reported by verified West Brom reporter Steve Madeley.
• Arbenit Xhemajli could be a Sunderland player before the new season kicks off this weekend, with a medical expected to take place in the coming days, according to the Northern Echo.
• The Sun journalist Alan Nixon has said on Twitter that Blackburn Rovers could look to sign ex-Charlton Athletic defender Naby Sarr.
• Newcastle United are said to be among the admirers for former Watford defender Adrian Mariappa, who is available on a free transfer this summer. Leeds, Burnley and Bristol City also linked.
• Burnley have had a £4m bid for Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall rejected and are interested in former Juventus forward Francesco Margiotta.The 27-year-old scored 14 goals for Swiss side Luzern last season. (The Sun)
• Reading are closing in on a loan move for Spanish midfielder Rodrigo Riquelme. The 20-year-old has been training with Royals out in Portugal over the past few days and took part in a goalless draw with Portimonense in a friendly on Tuesday evening.
