• Sunderland have emerged as favourites to sign highly-rated striker Luke Chapman, TEAMtalk understands. The 17-year-old is available due to Hartlepool’s academy closing as they look to reassess their youth operations. Newcastle, Leeds and Middlesbrough also want him.

• Swansea and Derby interested in young English centre-back Jonathan Panzo – Cercle Brugge ready to let him leave for €4-5m.

• Everton have enquired to Hull City about the potential of signing young Scottish forward James Scott, TEAMtalk understands. The Scotland Under-21 international joined the Tigers from Motherwell in January in a deal worth £1.5million. Leeds, Crystal Palace and Newcastle are watching on.

• BRISTOL CITY. Bid placed for Derby winger Florian Jozefzoon. Around £3m. (David Smith)

• Norwich City are in talks to sign Burnley defender Ben Gibson on loan, according to Football Insider.

• NOTT’M FOREST. Agreements in place for the double loan signings of David Tavares & Jota from Benfica. Medicals to take place in the next 48 hours. (David Smith)

• Watford striker Danny Welbeck has a £5.5 million release clause, as per a report by Sky Sports. Southampton are leading the race. West Brom also interested.

• Sheffield Wednesday are set to see off competition from QPR and Nottingham Forest to sign Chelsea’s Izzy Brown, as per a report by Yorkshire Live.

• Middlesbrough and QPR are now interested in pursuing Arka Gdynia’s Christian Maghoma, a previously reported target for Blackburn Rovers.

• Sunderland are plotting a move for Bristol City winger Sammie Szmodics, Football Insider understands.

• Hull City centre back Ryan Tafazolli is a target for Championship newcomers Wycombe Wanderers, according to reports.

• Relegated Bournemouth could make a late swoop for Wigan goalkeeper David Marshall. The Scotland international has been heavily linked with a move to Derby County. But with Aaron Ramsdale set to leave the Cherries they want to move quick for a Championship-ready goalkeeper. (Football Insider)

• Cardiff City are casting an eye over Manchester United prospect Oliver Denham, with Neil Harris considering a move to bring the defender to Wales.

• West Brom are interested in signing Brentford duo Ollie Watkins and Rico Henry. Slaven Bilic is understood to be an admirer of the pair, who were both key in the Bees’ run to the Championship playoff final last season.

• Sheffield Wednesday have had a bid for Wigan Athletic’s Josh Windass, 26, rejected according to a report from The Star.

• Birmingham City’s enquiry to Newcastle United over goalkeeper Karl Darlow has been rejected. Football Insider reports that the Magpies have turned down advances from the Blues due to wanting a capable back-up to Martin Dubravka.

• Besiktas have contacted Stoke City over a move for midfielder Badou Ndiaye. Le Quotidien reports that the Turkish side have offered to take the 29-year-old on loan, with an option to buy.

• Port Vale are being linked with a move for Swindon Town forward Hallam Hope. The 26 year old who joined the Robins from Carlisle in January, signing an 18-month deal for an undisclosed sum.

• Former Sunderland defender Tommy Smith could be close to finding a new club after going on trial at League Two side Colchester United.

• Aberdeen have made a move to sign Bristol City forward Marley Watkins on loan, Football Insider understands.

• Watford captain Troy Deeney says he is not going to actively look to leave the club following their relegation to the Championship.
