• Leeds have had bids of £18.5m and £22m rejected by Brighton for centre-back Ben White, who spent last season on loan at the club. #FreeBenWhite immediately started trending on the UK Twitter trends list as the news came out.

• Leeds could move for Manchester City youngster Taylor Harwood-Bellis if Liverpool or Chelsea scupper their attempts to sign Brighton defender Ben White on a permanent deal.

• Watford have contacted Liverpool and Wolves about buying Ismaila Sarr, but neither club are in a position to be able to bid for him.

• Accrington. Keen to sign keeper Hazard from Celtic. Would take full time with a sell on. Others sniffing too.

• Brentford. Looking at a deal for young defender Hamer at Oldham. Keen to sign emerging stars.

• Middlesbrough. Want Ben Gibson back from Burnley but only on loan. Norwich also interested. Burnley would go for Worrall at Forest if raise funds. Sheff U also keen on Worrall.

• Liverpool. Rhian Brewster won’t be going on loan again in a hurry. May be close to side if Origi goes. So a long wait at best for his admirers.

• Sheff U. Want an extra left back. Connor Roberts at Swansea now on radar. As well as Cash.

• Swansea. Talking to Ayala. Free. Worked with Cooper before. Snag is personal terms. Quite a big hurdle.

• Leeds. Polish keeper Miazek on Huddersfield loan list. Terriers after two keepers.

• Blackburn and Huddersfield still interested in keeper Iversen at Leicester. Expensive loan. Rovers also been looking into Muric at Man City. Same.

• Birmingham. Karanka could snap up Danny Fox on free after left Wigan. Worked together at Forest. Good man for nothing.

• Stoke. Deffo in the pack chasing Kieffer Moore at Wigan. Asking price established with all clubs. Time to get that one cracking. Qpr still in. And others on fringe.

• Portsmouth have not had a bid for in-demand keeper Alex Bass, who has been linked with Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace. Kenny Jackett insisted the club haven’t had offers for their 22-year-old keeper or left-sided attacker Ronan Curtis, who is reportedly being monitored by Brentford.

• Chelsea, Tottenham and Barcelona have all been looking at Watford youngster Pervis Estupinan.

• The Examiner claims that West Ham have now pulled away from the situation when it comes to landing Nottingham Forest’s Matty Cash, potentially freeing up Sheffield United for a free shot.

• Fulham have joined Tottenham and West Ham the race to sign Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles, reports the Daily Mail.

• Wigan Athletic attacker Joe Gelhardt is expected to complete his move to Leeds United next week.

• Sheffield United are supposedly ready to submit an improved offer of £15m for Bournemouth goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

• Speaking to BBC Sport, Wigan Athletic goalkeeper David Marshall has admitted he “would love” to return to the top end of the Championship. He said: “Everybody wants to play at the highest level. It’s out of your hands, but there are a lot of lads there who feel they did enough to be at least Championship players. I would love to get to the stage again where you’re competing at the top of the Championship. I had that for so long in my career in England.”

• West Bromwich Albion have held talks with Brighton over a move for centre-back Shane Duffy. The 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international is viewed by Slaven Bilic as a player who can add no-nonsense defending and Premier League experience to his side as they look to re-establish themselves in the top flight.

• According to The Sunday Mirror, Leeds United have made £20m rated Celtic star Odsonne Edouard their number one striker target. He scored a hat-trick on the opening weekend, and a total of 65 goals in 127 matches for the Scottish Premiership outfit.

• Southampton have joined Leeds and Newcastle in the hunt to sign Liverpool forward Harry Wilson. The Premier League champions want £20million for the 23-year-old Welsh international and will not accept a loan deal.

• Crystal Palace and West Ham are the only clubs to have made approaches for Ebere Eze. The QPR forward has been linked with several other clubs, including Tottenham and newly promoted Leeds United.

• Leeds United want to sign a centre back this summer and Rob Holding is one of the players being considered, according to the Daily Mail.

• QPR lead the chase to sign Middlesbrough transfer target Luke Amos according to a new report. Both clubs are keen to complete a deal for the Tottenham midfielder, who is expected to leave before the start of the new season.

• 15 clubs – including PSG, Lazio, Roma, Newcastle, Everton, Brighton, Burnley, Man Utd, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Leeds, Tottenham, Chelsea and other unnamed sides – are ready to sign Bournemouth’s Josh King. The Cherries do not want to sell the 28-year-old for less than £25million

• Middlesbrough are considering a potential swoop for Cardiff City winger Junior Hoilett, according to Teesside Live.

• Huddersfield Town have poured cold water on speculation linking them with a move for Kevin Stewart, as per a report by Yorkshire Live.

• According to a report from the Shields Gazette, goalkeeper Freddie Woodman is in talks over a new deal with Newcastle United and is “set” for a fresh loan move to Swansea City.

• Leeds United are set to open talks with Roma’s Amadou Diawara over a possible move. Italian outlet Messagerro have revealed that Diawara’s agents will travel to Leeds next week as the Italian giants may be looking to sell the 23-year old.

• Newcastle want Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, despite a limited budget, with manager Steve Bruce prioritising adding British talent. Free agent and Republic of Ireland international Jeff Hendrick has been offered following his release from Burnley.

• A surprise link comes from the Telegraph, who report that Aston Villa’s Scott Hogan could be on his way to Bournemouth with Callum Wilson potentially in a swap deal.

• Liverpool are mulling over making a £35m bid for talented Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks, according to a report.
