• NORWICH. Looking at Tom Ince from Stoke. Player happy to move but wages could be an issue.

• Nottingham Forest look set to win the race to sign Scott McKenna with Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes confirming that a £3m deal is close, according to the Daily Record.

• Cardiff City youngster Tom Sang is set for a loan move to Cheltenham Town. Sang is regarded as one of Cardiff’s brightest young prospects.

• Birmingham City are on the verge of signing Spain international Mikel San Jose. According to the BBC, the 31-year old is due for a medical ahead of a potential free transfer, having been released by Athletic Bilbao back in July.

• Nottingham Forest are set to be kept waiting as they look to land Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter, as the club need to move on players in order to afford his wages. (Nottingham Post)

• Middlesbrough boss Neil Warnock has insisted that the club still need to target the signing of another striker before the window closes, despite Chuba Akpom’s arrival from PAOK. (Northern Echo)

• West Brom could turn to Watford’s £18.5m striker Andre Gray before the transfer window closes, if they’re unable to land fellow Hornet Troy Deeney. The Baggies have lost their two opening Premier League games. (The Athletic)

• Preston North End star Ben Davies could be set to leave the Lilywhites for nothing at the end of the season, with reports north of the border suggesting Celtic could sign him on a pre-contract deal. (Scottish Sun)

• Stoke City look set to complete the signing of Southampton goalkeeper Angus Gunn, with want-away Potters ‘keeper Jack Butland set to move the other way as part of the deal. (Mirror)

• Reading manager Veljko Paunovic has stated that the club is still active in the transfer market despite the Royals winning their opening two fixtures.

• Derby County look to be edging closer to signing former Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe. The Telegraph state that Ibe could have a medical today and sign a two-year deal. Millwall and Swansea City have been interested in signing the free agent.

• Wimbledon’s Nesta Guinness-Walker is attracting interest from a host of Championship clubs, TEAMtalk can reveal. Queens Park Rangers, Middlesbrough and Huddersfield have also been keeping tabs on him.

• Chelsea defender Jake Clarke-Salter is close to agreeing a move to French top-flight club Brest in what would be a major Nottingham Forest blow, Football Insider can reveal.

• Harry Souttar remains wanted by Portsmouth, according to the Portsmouth News. Kenny Jackett is keen to take the defender on loan or a permanent deal. Potters boss Michael O’Neill indicating he wants him involved.

• Speaking to the club’s official website, Derby County boss Phillip Cocu has admitted that the club may sell their young stars if they receive good enough offers for them. Louis Sibley, Max Bird, Jason Knight, Morgan Whittaker and Lee Buchanan have all become senior players under Cocu.

• The Sun journalist Alan Nixon has reported on Twitter that Bournemouth midfielder Dan Gosling’s move to Turkish side Ankaragucu is “still live”.

• Huddersfield Town and Hull City’s hopes of signing Leeds United’s starlet midfielder Robbie Gotts on loan look to have been dealt a blow, with the Whites believed to be unwilling to strike a deal until a replacement is found. (The Sun)

• Joey Barton wants to see Fleetwood Town complete “four or five” more signings before the transfer window closes on October 16.

• Championship club Birmingham City are reportedly in talks with Ipswich Town about a £2.5m deal for striker Kayden Jackson. (East Anglian Times)

• Wigan Athletic can only offer £1,500-a-week to Swindon Town for Matt Palmer on loan. The Latics have a limit on their spending but a deal is ‘still possible’. (The Sun)

• Charlton boss Lee Bowyer has admitted that Tyreece John-Jules was one of the players they missed out on due to their transfer embargo – with the Arsenal youngster netting against the South Londoners for Doncaster Rovers on Saturday. (Various)

• Accrington Stanley are ‘watching developments’ with keeper Conor Hazard at Celtic. Could be available if he does not sign a new deal and the League One club could sign him on a permanent deal. (The Sun)

• Talks are set to take place over the signing of a new striker at Priestfield on Monday but Gillingham boss Steve Evans says he can make ‘no promises’. The Gills are short in the attacking department after losing Brandon Hanlan and Mikael Mandron in the summer and Evans would love to add another front-man to his ranks. (Kent Online)

• Sunderland’s move for Instituto forward Mateo Bajamich may still have legs according to reports in Argentina. An initial bid of £500,000 was not accepted and it is now claimed that Instituto have made a counter-offer of £1.3m for 80% of his registration to Sunderland. (Mundo D)

• Phil Parkinson is in the market for at least one new player – a left-sided defender – and has hinted he could turn his eye to younger targets. He said: “We’ve got to spend it wisely but of course, the U21s don’t count so we’re searching as well for a player or two in that category who can give us a lift.” (Sunderland Echo)
