• According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa want to sign Crystal Palace midfielder James McCarthy in a £5million swoop this summer. It’s reported that McCarthy has just one year left on his deal, and Villa are hoping to take advantage with a cheap deal.
• Newcastle United are continuing talks to sign Ryan Fraser following his departure from Cherries, according to a report in the Shields Gazette. West Ham and Crystal Palace remain interested.
• Aston Villa have been linked with teenage left-back Aaron Hickey from Hearts, reports up in Scotland claim. Bayern Munich and Bologna also keen.
• Leeds United have enquired about attacking midfielder Emiliano Buendia but Norwich City want at least £25m for the Argentine.
• AC Milan are interested in signing Tottenham’s Serge Aurier if they lose either of their right-backs this summer, according to Sky in Italy.
• Nottingham Forest. Southampton very keen on Matty Cash. Want right sider who can play a few roles. Also into McKennie at Schalke. Will be down to prices. (Alan Nixon)
• Leeds are keen on a deal to bring Espanyol striker Raul de Tomas to Elland Road this summer, according to reports in Spain.
• Chelsea are stepping up their efforts to sign Burnley’s England keeper Nick Pope, 28, with the future of Spain’s Kepa Arrizabalaga, 25, increasingly uncertain. (Star Sunday)
• Tottenham are considering a move for 32 year old Watford striker Troy Deeney. Former player Daryl Burgess also urges West Bromwich Albion to go out and sign the Hornets captain who stated on the last game of the season: “I honestly don’t know if this is going to be my last game at Watford or in the Premier League.” (Mail)
• Crystal Palace are looking at Watford’s Senegalese striker Ismaila Sarr, 22, and could make an offer of £40m with Ivory Coast forward Wilfried Zaha, 27, expected to leave Selhurst Park. (Sun on Sunday)
• Manchester United are demanding Inter Milan pay £15m to sign Chile forward Alexis Sanchez, 31, permanently. (Sunday Express)
• Leeds are interested in signing Gent left-back Milad Mohammadi – with the 26-year-old Iran international likely to cost around £6.3m. (Football Insider)
• Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a move for Belgian centre-back Jan Vertonghen. The 33-year-old is a free agent this summer. Reports in Italy suggest Roma and Atletico Madrid also want him.
• Raul Jimenez has been linked with Juventus and Man Utd, but it has now been claimed by Record in Mexico that Jimenez has a clear preference – he is happy to stay at Wolves. The player, who is a new father for the first time last month, is at home living in Wolverhampton and is keen to achieve more big things at the club.
• Crystal Palace are ready to offer Watford’s Danny Welbeck a Premier League lifeline as they eye replacements for Wilfried Zaha.
• Leeds United are interested in signing Ollie Watkins from Brentford in the summer transfer window, according to The Sunday Mirror.
• Turkish newspaper Sabah report West Bromwich Albion are in pole position to sign Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida. Besiktas want to part ways with him because of their poor financial situation. Roma, Inter, Fiorentina, Sevilla, Monaco and Lyon are all interested also.
• Arsenal and Everton are reportedly interested in signing Watford’s French midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure following the Hornets’ relegation.
• Leicester City are willing to listen to offers for the Aston Villa and Newcastle linked Kelechi Iheanacho in order to fund their pursuit of in-demand £40m Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard, who is also wanted by Arsenal, Leeds United and Everton after scoring an impressive 21 goals and made 12 assists in 27 league appearances last term.
• Manchester United are weighing up a shock move with Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel seen as a ready-made option to come in.
• Watford are in pole position to sign free agent Jeremy Ngakia. The 19-year-old right back left West Ham last month after rejecting a new deal in favour of regular first-team football elsewhere.
• Turkish newspaper Turkiye claim Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion are set to fight it out for the signature of Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi.
• According to a report from the Express, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has joined West Ham and Chelsea in the race to sign Brentford winger Said Benrahma.
• Brentford and Queens Park Rangers are the latest clubs to show interest in Oxford United defender Rob Dickie, as reported by West London Sport. Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Leeds, Derby, Burnley and Southampton also want him.
• Manchester United are considering lining up a shock move for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to reports.
• Manchester United are reportedly set to be knocked back by Italian wonderkid Sandro Tonali, who is being chased by Inter Milan.
• Newcastle are interested in signing Sassuolo’s Brazilian left-back Rogerio this summer, according to Sky in Italy. The 22-year-old is highly-regarded in scouting circles across Europe.
• Bournemouth plan to do everything possible to keep their 23-year-old Welsh playmaker David Brooks, with Tottenham, Everton and West Ham all interested in a deal. (Star Sunday)
• Everton have not yet made a bid for Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon despite reports of an £18m offer for the 23-year-old Spaniard. (Liverpool Echo)
• Everton intend to try their luck with a £15m bid for Bournemouth’s Norwegian striker Joshua King, 28. (Sun on Sunday)

• Manchester City are keen on Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto, 28, who can play in midfield, defence or on the wing, with City’s 19-year-old full-back Eric Garcia – his Spanish compatriot – heading in the opposite direction. (Sport)
