• Oldham Athletic are hoping to snap up Scottish youth international Jamie Barjonas on loan from Rangers, according to reports.

• Blackburn Rovers are keen to secure loan moves for English defenders Tyler Magloire, 21, and Hayden Carter, 20 before the 16 October deadline, but both have picked up injuries which puts that in doubt. (Lancashire Telegraph)

• Nottingham Forest and Swansea City have put offers for Almería defender Mathieu Peybernes ‘firmly on the table’ but face competition from Getafe for the 29-year-old.

• Nottingham Forest are reportedly working to offload a number of players, with Michael Hefele, Yohan Benalouane, Albert Adomah, and Zach Clough thought to be on the list.

• Reports from Scotland have claimed that Preston North End’s Daniel Johnson could join Rangers in time to play Motherwell this weekend, with a £3m deal tipped to go through imminently. (Scottish Sun)

• Bournemouth and Brentford target Dillon Phillips is set to have been the subject of a bid from an unnamed Championship club. Charlton are said to have rejected it, although the ‘keeper is expected to leave. (South London Press)

• Stoke City’s hopes of snapping up Southampton goalkeeper Angus Gunn appear to have improved, as the Saints are understood to be eager to move the ex-Man City stopper on before the window closes. (Sky Sports)

• Nottingham Forest and Swansea City are both believed to have made offers for Almeria defender Mathieu Peybernes. The 29-year-old has previously starred in France for the likes of Bastia and Sochaux. (Sport Witness)

• Gary Rowett has poured cold water on speculation of an imminent return for Jayson Molumby to Millwall from Brighton.

• Manchester United have ‘considered’ moving for AFC Bournemouth winger David Brooks, as per a report by the Manchester Evening News.

• Arsenal could still move for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya despite signing Runar Alex Runarsson, but will wait to see if they can move Matt Macey on first.

• Belgian side Club Brugge are retaining hopes that QPR winger Bright Osayi-Samuel could still be available in this transfer window and that they can get a deal done in the final days of it.

• As per a report from Spanish news outlet Marca, Watford defender Kiko Femenia is wanted in Spain by La Liga outfit Getafe.

• Celtic “will go down to the wire” in their pursuit of Charlton Athletic defender Alfie Doughty, according to Frank McAvennie. (Football Insider)

• Bristol City boss Dean Holden has reiterated his desire to trim his squad further before the transfer window closes two weeks today. Hull City boss Grant McCann is keen to take Hakeeb Adelakun off Holden’s hands. Oxford and Sunderland have also been linked.

• According to The Scottish Sun, Steven Gerrard’s Rangers have ‘made it clear they will not be hard to deal with’ over the 25-year-old Jordan Jones, and will allow him to leave for less than £1 million. Jones has been linked with moves to Queens Park Rangers, Preston North End, Stoke City, Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough, whose academy he came through, after falling out of favour at Rangers.

• Derby County winger Josh Shonibare is a loan target for Oxford United and Dutch duo Go Ahead Eagles and Roda JC.

• Huddersfield Town full-back Florent Hadergjonaj remains at a crossroads with regard to his future in West Yorkshire. Future is in limbo and doesn’t have a squad number. No confirmed interest in him.

• Walsall have rejected a £100k offer from Burton Albion for striker Josh Gordon. (Express & Star)
