– According to Alex Miller of the Sheffield Star, Fernando Forestieri could leave Sheffield Wednesday in January. The 30-year-old has spent most of the season on the periphery and is out of contract in July, so Wednesday might look to cash in on his signature before he becomes a free transfer.
– Steve Cooper wants Freddie Woodman to remain at Swansea City beyond his current season-long loan deal from Newcastle United.

– It has also emerged that Cardiff City‘s Robert Glatzel has been monitored by Werder Bremen for quite some time, stretching back to when the player was at Heidenheim.
– Peterborough United star Marcus Maddison is said to be “in advanced talks” on a move to Charlton Athletic according to Sky Sports. The Posh say they have accepted two bids for the 26-year-old, confirming that one of them was from the Addicks. Birmingham are reported to have been the other club involved.
– Speaking to the East Anglian Daily Times, Ipswich Town defender Luke Woolfenden has said he is taking no notice of transfer speculation, linking him to Sheffield United, insisting that he is focused on the task at hand at Portman Road.
– Cheltenham Town will not be signing former Arsenal forward Jay Emmanuel-Thomas after he appeared for the Robins in a behind-closed-doors friendly against West Bromwich Albion on Thursday afternoon.

Ideally we would get deals done early next week because we will be travelling at the end of the week down to Portsmouth. We have been working on it this morning [Friday] and we will see where the next couple of days takes us.”

– Reading have made an loan offer with an option to buy for Sporting Lisbon youngster Pedro Mendes. According to the report, the Portuguese side are analysing the offer made by the Royals and will communicate their position to Reading in the next few days.
