– According to Alex Miller of the Sheffield Star, Fernando Forestieri could leave Sheffield Wednesday in January. The 30-year-old has spent most of the season on the periphery and is out of contract in July, so Wednesday might look to cash in on his signature before he becomes a free transfer.

– Steve Cooper wants Freddie Woodman to remain at Swansea City beyond his current season-long loan deal from Newcastle United.

Leeds United are hopeful of snapping up Monaco‘s on-loan striker Jean-Kevin Augustin, yet to hear if a deal’s been done but he wants to come and his agent has been working on getting him out of Monaco. Not getting games there. Mutual admiration between Bielsa and Augustin. Nottingham Forest also want him.

– Leeds United are willing to listen to offers for goalkeeper Kamil Miazek before the 31 January cut-off, Football Insider reveal.

– Barnsley attacker Cauley Woodrow says that that he is fully focused on the Tykes’ battle for Championship survival this season, amid recent reports linking him with a move to Leeds this month.

– Hearts are closing in on the signing of Burton Albion striker Liam Boyce, who has scored 14 times in 33 games so far this season.

– It has also emerged that Cardiff City‘s Robert Glatzel has been monitored by Werder Bremen for quite some time, stretching back to when the player was at Heidenheim.

– Peterborough United star Marcus Maddison is said to be “in advanced talks” on a move to Charlton Athletic according to Sky Sports. The Posh say they have accepted two bids for the 26-year-old, confirming that one of them was from the Addicks. Birmingham are reported to have been the other club involved.

– Speaking to the East Anglian Daily Times, Ipswich Town defender Luke Woolfenden has said he is taking no notice of transfer speculation, linking him to Sheffield United, insisting that he is focused on the task at hand at Portman Road.

– Cheltenham Town will not be signing former Arsenal forward Jay Emmanuel-Thomas after he appeared for the Robins in a behind-closed-doors friendly against West Bromwich Albion on Thursday afternoon.

– Ipswich Town manager Paul Lambert has dismissed speculation linking the Tractor Boys with a move for young Man City midfielder Matt Smith, who’s currently on loan at QPR.

– Tyrese Campbell is set to sign a new contract with Stoke City, despite interest from Rangers and Celtic.

– Sunderland boss Phil Parkinson says he is unlikely to sanction a loan move for Bali Mumba this month.

– Black Cats boss Parkinson wants to bring in a couple of new signings early next week as Sunderland gear up for a busy seven days. “We’re working towards a couple more additions and if we get the ones we want, great – if not, we will stick with what we’ve got. “Dialogue has kept on going between ourselves and a few clubs. Ideally we would get deals done early next week because we will be travelling at the end of the week down to Portsmouth. We have been working on it this morning [Friday] and we will see where the next couple of days takes us.”

– According to the Daily Mail, Bristol City have joined Derby County in the race to sign Leicester City defender Filip Benkovic on a loan deal until the end of the season.

– Rangers are reportedly interested in teenager forward Rayhaan Tulloch from Championship outfit West Brom. Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Sunderland also got their eyes on him.

– Birmingham City are interested in Austria Vienna striker Christoph Monschein, according to reports. He has scored 16 goals in all competitions this season. (BBC)

– Al Ahly director of Sports Sayed Abdel-Hafiz has commented on the rumors linking West Bromwich Albion defender Ahmed Hegazi with a return to the club.

– Sheffield Wednesday ‘discussed figures’ with Southampton regarding Che Adams earlier in the transfer window. (The Athletic)

– Stoke City are one of several clubs interested in Strømsgodset‘s 23 year old left-back Prosper Mendy this month. Marseille, Lyon, Montreal Impact, and two unnnamed Premier League clubs.

– Reading have made an loan offer with an option to buy for Sporting Lisbon youngster Pedro Mendes. According to the report, the Portuguese side are analysing the offer made by the Royals and will communicate their position to Reading in the next few days.
