Newcastle United have been made joint-second favourites to sign Ivan Cavaleiro, after Bet Victor opened a market on the Wolverhampton Wanderers winger’s next club. Newcastle, though, are yet to be credited with interest in the Portugal international, but are as short as 4/1 to land him nonetheless – behind Fulham (2/1) and alongside Huddersfield.

Danny Welbeck reported back for training with Arsenal on Monday – but his future appears destined to lie away from Emirates Stadium. According to the London Evening Standard, Everton, Fulham and Newcastle have all expressed a willingness to try and sign him. It’s said Southampton and Bournemouth are also keen.

Newcastle United have already made a bid for Real Sociedad forward Willian Jose, according to a report from Spanish publication Marca, but unfortunately for the Magpies, Chelsea have allegedly entered the race for the Brazilian.

According to a report from the Mirror, Manchester United are preparing a final £40 million take it or leave it offer for Tottenham‘s Toby Alderweireld.

According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Leicester City are set to sign Dinamo Zagreb centre back Filip Benkovic in a £13million deal before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

According to a report from Sky Sports News, Sam Clucas’ proposed move from Swansea City to Burnley has fallen through after the 27-year-old failed to agree personal terms with the Clarets.

Premier League newcomers Fulham are still looking for new signings and reportedly like the Norwegian midfielder Ole Selnaes.

Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka has admitted that his club are keen to sign West Ham defender Sam Byram this summer. Speaking to Sky Sports, Karanka said that Byram was on his shortlist but he made it clear that the club’s hierarchy were the people actively working on transfers as he is coaching his squad.

– According to a report from Burnley Express, Tottenham and West Ham are both amongst the list of clubs interested in pursuing a late move for West Brom striker Jay Rodriguez before the transfer window closes.

Stoke City forward Peter Crouch has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Burnley. The report claims that Burnley could attempt to sign Crouch – who has less than a year remaining on his contract – for a fee in the region of £500,000.

Brentford have rejected a £15million bid for Leicester City for hot prospect Chris Mepham, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

DEALS:

Newcastle have signed striker Salomon Rondon from West Brom on a season-long loan, with Dwight Gayle heading to the Championship side on the same deal. Rondon, 28, scored seven Premier League goals for the relegated Baggies last season and becomes Newcastle’s sixth signing of the transfer window. Gayle, 27, scored six league goals last season as the Magpies finished 10th.

Blackburn Rovers have signed Newcastle United striker Adam Armstrong on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee. Armstrong, 21, spent the second half of last season on loan at Rovers, helping them achieve promotion back to the Championship at the first attempt. He scored nine goals in 21 appearances.

Derby have signed Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori on a season-long loan. Tomori, 20, becomes the second Chelsea player to join Frank Lampard’s Rams on loan, after Mason Mount’s move earlier this summer.

Aston Villa have signed Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe on a season-long loan deal. The 20-year-old spent time on loan at Villa last season, playing five times before being ruled out by injury.
