Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris arrested for drink driving

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has been charged with drink driving.

The World Cup winner was pulled over by officers in Marylebone at 2:30am as part of a routine patrol.

He failed a roadside breathalyzer test, then was taken to Charing Cross police station, where he spent around seven hours in custody.

This is a serious thing though, as drink driving can cause an accident. You are not in complete control when you have been drinking, so you should not drive. It is not fair to cause someone injury who has done nothing wrong.

These people could get injured, or worse die because someone decided they wanted to drink. At least if they are injured, they can get compensation by using a law firm like this Hasbrook & Hasbrook in OKC one. At the end of the day though, this can all be avoided if people didn’t drink and drive.

This is why Lloris will probably have lost a lot of fans because of this.
Lloris was released on police bail and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Sept. 11.

The Metropolitan Police said: “A man has been charged following a routine patrol stop in Gloucester Place, W1.

“Hugo Lloris, 31, of East Finchley, was charged with drink driving on Friday, 24 August.

“He has been bailed to return to Westminster magistrates’ court on Tuesday, 11 September.”

Tottenham face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday evening.

It’s yet to be announced whether the arrest will affect his place for that clash.

Since the news came out, Lloris lost the respect of many supporters who expressed their disappointment in the keeper, however there some who saw a funny side – take a look at the tweets on the next page.
