Tom Cruise has got a lot of people talking this week as he helps out a non league team after using their pitch as a movie set.
The Hollywood A-lister visited a lower league side, that is struggling financially due to the pandemic, by signing replica shirts for an auction.
Woburn & Wavendon Football Club, who are based in Bedfordshire, have had a lack of income with no fans allowed to attend matches over the last year, and the frustration of being kicked off their ground for a film shoot was turned into a positive thing when the film’s huge star, Tom Cruise, gave them helping hand.

The team had been forced to vacate the area to make way for the Mission: Impossible 7 film crew. But, to make amends, Cruise signed some of the club’s shirts that will now be auctioned off to raise much needed funds for the club.
The A-list actor placed an autograph on numerous football shirts of theirs, and money raised from the sale of them will go towards their crowdfunding campaign, with the hope of reaching £12,000.
The target was reached a few days later, benefiting not just them but their boys and girls juniors teams, parents, pan-disability children and staff including a huge number of volunteers.

The football club’s chairman Robert Hill said the team was “desperate to get back on and play some football” since coronavirus restrictions were lifted, but that the production company reassured them they would “do whatever we could” to ease the burden.
In a message posted by the Woburn & Wavendon FC’s Twitter account, they wrote: “Hollywood star Tom Cruise was in town filming near one of our venues, meaning we had to relocate, but the Mission Impossible crew generously gave us their support with Tom signing a few shirts too.”
They have lost approximately £30,000 due to the impact of the pandemic and said some of the money raised would go towards supporting community initiatives.
He was also seen performing a stunt at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, and then photos showed the actor landing in a black helicopter, before being shown around Levisham Station in Pickering.
One of those to see him was Sarah Jones, owner of Pear Tree House B&B and Holiday Cottage.
She said: “It was just a run-of-the-mill dog walk really. We’d heard rumours that things were happening in town.
“We timed it very well. This enourmous black helicopter appeared, and landed in front of us.
“All of a sudden, there’s Tom!
“He was very friendly, he was very nice. He waved, and shouted hello.
“It felt very special, that he was in our little town, coming out of lockdown!”
