Three England fans including a footballer were stabbed outside a Bullring’s Five Guys burger restaurant in Birmingham on Sunday (16 June).
BirminghamLive report that an England football fan was rushed to hospital with ‘potentially serious injuries’ as three friends had been stabbed outside the Bullring’s Five Guys burger restaurant after the the win against Serbia.
Peterborough youngster Mack Lamb, who has had spells with non league clubs including Alvechurch, Stratford and Evesham, tweeted: “Debated with myself whether to post anything or not as it’s still fresh, felt as though I needed to, to spread awareness of the danger of knife crime.
“I’m fortunate that I had good friends by my side to stop the bleeding and get help so quick else who knows what could’ve been.
“It’s been a scary few days and not sure its all sunk in yet.
“Just grateful that I’m still here, which some people affected by knife crime cannot say which is the most devastating thing.
“Just hope things like this and other more serious incidents can make peole start to understand that there is something clearly not right going on for people to think it’s ok to step out there front door with knives.”

No serious injuries, just a stab wound to the back and a slash to the face
Still no communication from @WMPolice to us a family but happy to give a statement to the press.
Knife crime is a problem but what’s the deterrent when this is the attitude to solve? @BirminghamNo https://t.co/UDq1LenIm0— Gav Lamb (@GavLamb09) June 21, 2024
4 yrs ago 2 police officers came into my house to check if I had more than 10 people in my garden. On Sunday in Birmingham city centre my son was stabbed and two of his friends suffered knife wounds. Nobody from the police have contacted us yet. Who’s protecting who?
