The team forced to play two games on the same day, yes you read that right, that Scottish side are a team called Orkney FC.
This weekend, the North Caledonian League side are facing playing two matches on the same day, at the same time but one at home and the other away.
So. Can we be the first club in history to get 6 points from two games at the same time, on the same day, in the same league! Time will tell… but it'll be fun trying! ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️?????? #Orkney https://t.co/tyRoGp1WUX

Bunillidh Thistle are the team they are playing away from home to at 12:30pm on Saturday. Then, 15 minutes into that game, an Orkney XI will play at home to Bonar Bridge, which is 165 miles away.
The reason as to how this has happened is all down to that pesky weather that has battered the UK this year.
On the 11th of January, they got a boat and the bus to league leaders Invergordon, who are 130 miles away, however the game was called off.
A week later, their match with Bunillidh Thistle was waterlogged.
February saw their clash at Golspie Sutherland cancelled, then hosted them a week later, with Orkney FC even picking the travelling side up from the ferry to make sure it went ahead.
The fixture backlog has now seen them with no choice but to play two games on the same day.
North Caledonia FA said in a tweet: “Yes, Orkney play two games at Helmsdale and Kirkwall. “They’ve had a lot of postponed games so have agreed to play twice.”
Orkney currently sit 5th out of nine teams that compete in the North Caledonian League, sitting 13 points off the leaders with three games in hand.
Fans gave their reaction as the team forced to play two games on the same day have had their story go viral…

With the games 165 miles apart, that’s a heck of a warm up for the subs. All the best boys. Bring it home (and away). #OrkneyHomeAway #TwaGames

Better hope the ferry isn’t cancelled this week, or there’ll be a 12 pointer soon!
