Some have already made a decision, Spennymoor Town Ladies are just one example, being awarded the title based on PPG. How many more could we see go down this route?
Last week, the FA Leagues Committee decided that Steps 3-7 would be made null and void. This led to over 100 clubs sending the Football Association an open letter urging them to reconsider their decision.
In what appears to be an email, the FA state: “Dear All, the FA/ FA are allowing leagues below step 7 to determine how they conclude their respective 2019-20 campaigns.
“Whilst there are no promotions or relegations from Division 1, we have been given 3 options to conclude the season.
“1. Like the Senior Division – Declare it Null and void
“2. Determine final positions on a points per game basis
“3. All remaining matches are recorded as 0-0 draws and 1 point awarded per club per game
“Appreciate the majority of you voted in a straw poll for your preferred option for both divisions recently, however the FA took the Senior Division out of our hands.
“Please complete the attached marking just 1 option, and return it to me.”
Many leagues below Step 7 are offering their clubs a vote on how to conclude the season.

Clubs at Step 8 can’t be promoted up to Step 7 on PPG either, Ollie Bayliss reveals.
As the FA allow parts of non league to be decided by points per game, fans took to opportunity to slam the board…
It just gets worse! What a farce!

So the "football family" is a fractured relationship with everyone applying different rules.

So the top levels and Steps 1 & 2 are undecided (hoping to finish), Steps 3-6 are null and void and Steps 7 and below can choose. What an absolute mess. So much for the integrity of the pyramid. What an incompetent bunch the FA are.

It’s a joke. If it can be done for one set of teams then it can be done for EVERYONE!

No integrity to the pyramid if leagues are allowed to apply different outcomes to end the season. It needs to be one approach for all, rather than this absolute mess.

@LancingFC a glimmer of hope?
