We continue our look at the clubs never to have played at the new Wembley…

3) NOTTS COUNTY

Notts County, right now a club trying to avoid the drop to the National League, have again come close to getting to the new Wembley, and could have done so just under 12 months ago as they lost to Coventry in the playoff semi finals.

 

2) OLDHAM ATHLETIC

Oldham, like others in this article are hoping to secure a playoff place come the end of the 2018/19 season. They did just that in the 2006/07 League One season but lost to Blackpool in the semis.

 

1) PORT VALE

Port Vale won the Football League Trophy in 2001 but there was no Wembley so like all finals at that time was played at the Millennium Stadium.
