Due to coronavirus lockdown rules, some ties were played behind closed doors or restricted amount of spectators, though for some clubs, they had their biggest ever attendance.
For teams at these levels of football, it may be the last time they’re in action for a month, after Boris Johnson announced the country back into lockdown on Halloween night.
The Premier League, EFL, National League and it’s North and South divisions looks set to continue, whilst leagues below could be forced to stop, more to come out on that in coming days no doubt.
There were astonishingly ten upsets in the FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round. So let’s get to them…
Just days ago, FC United of Manchester were drawn in the FA Cup First Round Proper thanks to a great run of form, they also went into Saturday’s game unbeaten at home – 6 games.
However that was put to an end by Northern Premier League Division One North West side Marske United who put three goals past them at Broadhurst Park.
FC United took the lead through Curtis Jones’ header on the 13th minute, before Adam Boyes levelled the scoreline six minutes later.
And after numerous chances, a thrilling ending saw three goals in six minutes as the final whistle approached.
In the 84th minute, Marske cleared the ball via a huge goal kick, and the ball dropped nicely for Boyes who put it into the net with ease, again keeper Dan Lavercombe had no chance of stopping that one.
FC United’s Michael Fowler then made it 2-2 on the 89th minute, however up came Lewis Maloney to prevent the tie going to a penalty shootout, making it 3-2 on the 90th minute to send league below Marine through.

Maldon & Tiptree, another team to have made it into this year’s FA Cup First Round, beat league above Kingstonian to continue their fine run of results.
They also won by the same scoreline, 3-2, Shomari Barnwell scoring twice by the half hour mark, Corie Andrews getting the K’s one back on the 60th minute, Hamza Kaid hit back 19 minutes from the end to get the host’s third goal of the day before Corie Andrews got his second minutes from time, though Maldon held on for the win.
Can they do the same in causing an upset when they host League Two side Morecambe in November?

Stratford Town, who sit 3rd in the Southern League Premier Central was also on the end of a defeat against Kidsgrove Athletic who are also flying high in the Northern Premier League South East Division.
It was the underdogs that came out roaring in the first half, scoring twice within 10 minutes thanks to Kingsley Adu-Gyamfi and Lewis Bergin.
Kidsgrove held firm in the second half, before adding a third through Kyle Diskin’s spot kick in the 66th minute.
10 minutes later, Stratford’s Ashley Sammons got one back, however his side could spark a late comeback.
Take a look here to see the lads after well and truly earning their place in the first round proper of the FA Trophy? And thank you to the fans who travelled to support the side, what a day it was!
