Tamworth’s Haydn Hollis goes viral ‘taking the absolute p*ss’ out of Tottenham with roulette skill

Tamworth’s Haydn Hollis goes viral ‘taking the absolute p*ss’ out of Tottenham with a roulette skill around two Spurs players.

The 32 year old sent Pape Sarr and Timo Werner for a hotdog, and a clip of that was quickly uploaded onto social media, getting thousands of likes and views.

He really put in a quite the performance, Spurs came the closest of either side to scoring as Timo Werner heads a cross back across goal, but it was cleared off the line by Haydn Hollis – the man of the moment – with Jas Singh stranded.

It came in the second half of the two sides’ FA Cup Third Round clash, with the National League side holding Premier League opposition to a 0-0 draw and taking it to extra time.

It was however the scrappiest of goals that put Tottenham ahead, Nathan Tshikuna putting it into his own net on 101 minutes.

Kulusevski (107′ ET) and Johnson (118′ ET) added to the scoreline to make it a 3-0 victory for Tottenham, but huge credit to Tamworth.

It took 101 minutes for Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs to score against Teaching Assistant Andy Peaks’s Tamworth side. What an achievement.

Stephen Warnock (on BBC Radio 5 Live): “It’s really tough on Tamworth. They were attacking down one end and it’s the transition that does them. That has been the difference in extra-time, the physical aspect of the game. Brennan Johnson is clinical, he reverses the ball from the right-hand side into the left-hand side. Singh got nowhere near it such is the quality of the finish.

“I just hope the Tamworth players don’t get too overawed with the score and they actually have immense pride with what they have just achieved. To go 90 minutes with a Premier League team at home in the FA Cup is a huge achievement for them. It was a great display by Tamworth.”

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou, speaking to ITV: “It was a challenging game as we expected it to be.

“They made it hard for us, with the surface it was about us staying clam and being persistent in our football.

“In the end, we got the job done.”

On message going into extra time: “Stay clam and persistent. We knew we would finish strong and you could see they were tiring a bit.

“It’s a game of football you go into it with trepidation and knowing you can slip up with the challenges.

“Most parts the boys kept their heads. I thought they stayed clam and persisted and got through.

“We are through to the next round and that was the objective for today.

“Tamworth did really well and should be proud of their efforts. For us, we move on.”

Tamworth boss Andy Peaks, speaking to ITV: “Be disappointed because we were that close to causing a massive upset, but equally be massively proud.

“Everyone put a shift in and when you look at the team we were up against, it was unbelievable from our boys – I am so proud of them.

“We had chances, the keeper made saves but what was brilliant is we were in the game right till the end.

“We knew it was going to be tough. I wanted people to see what we were about, and I think we have done that.

“I wanted to come here and talk to you guys and be proud of what I have seen – I am immensely proud.

“To get a home draw was better. The chance we had to level it was them coming here. They have been so respectful and to bring a team like that says a lot.

Ange Postecoglou praised for perfect response to ‘disrespectful’ question on Tamworth game
