Swansea come back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in the 97th minute and stun Ange’s Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup Third Round.
Forest led comfortably with two first-half goals from Igor Jesus, however, Swansea fought back with Cameron Burgess scoring to reduce the deficit on the 68th minute.
Then Zan Vipotnik levelled the scoreline 93 minutes, before Burgess struck again in the seventh minute of added time to secure a stunning victory, and boy were the scenes extraordinary to watch, from the celebrations to Ange standing with a disbelief look on his face…

Nottingham Forest boss Ange Postecoglou speaking to Sky Sports:
“I thought it was a game we should’ve killed off long before it got to the stage that it did. I thought we’d be comfortable and the game would finish easily. I thought we’d score a good third goal but our chance was disallowed.
“This is the nature of cup football, when you’ve got the team where we had them you have to finish them off. I think the players thought it would naturally finish that way, we paid a heavy price, we have to improve.
“They had two shots from outside the box in the first-half and they didn’t test us until right at the end. There were players on the pitch that needed football and were rusty. Even without that context we should’ve ended the game.
“I’m just frustrated that we didn’t realise the danger that developed by not being more clinical with our football and killing off the game when we could’ve.
“We don’t have time for philosophical views, the opportunity today was to progress. We should’ve seen it out, we’re out of the cup and that’s disappointing. But we need to recover and get ready for a big game on Saturday.
“There should not be any deflation in the team, there should be determination to make things right.”
Swansea City head coach Alan Sheehan speaking to Sky Sports:
“We had a big meeting after the Hull game where we conceded in the 97th minute. The manner of the 15 minutes leading up to that was what the meeting was about, the mentality and what we want to be about,” he said.
“Today we weren’t really playing against Nottingham Forest, we were playing against ourselves because we want to be a certain type of team.
“We wanted to put our stamp on the game. I think we were incredibly unfortunate to be 2-0 down at half time.
“To keep going to the very end I think that’s really important and credit to the players, they’ve got that belief. It’s a wonderful win.
“I think some of our possession work tonight was absolutely incredible.
“You want to test yourself against that type of team and that type of players.
“I’m very proud of the players, they deserve all of the praise.
“We won the game, I know it’s quite mad at the end, but I think we deserved it.”
