The FA Cup was back in action this weekend and the Third Qualifying Round saw four non league sides cause upsets over teams in leagues higher than them.
A total of 80 teams, from Level 6 and Level 9 of English football, took part at this stage of the competition with there being no new additions. That comes in the next one.
This round contained 25 teams from Level 9; the lowest ranked teams in the competition, though none of them progressed through. Abbey Rangers lost 2-0 at home to Whyteleafe, Hadley suffered a 3-0 defeat at Havant & Waterlooville and Tavistock lost 4-1 away to Welling United.
There were upsets however from two teams from Level 8 clubs, Belper Town won 2-1 against Rushall Olympic to go just one round away from reaching the First Round Proper.

Chichester City managed to win 1-0 at home to Enfield Town to become the last club standing who started their FA Cup campaign this season in the Extra Preliminary Round. (Stat credit FA Cup Factfile, worth checking them out!)
