A tweet by Stourbridge went viral earlier this month after they made a hilarious auto-correct mistake during one of their matches.
With less than 30 minutes left of their match against Royston Town, the Southern League Premier Division Central side tweeted that player Rob Thompson-Brown ‘shoots wife’ instead of ‘shoots wide’.

Since their mistake, their tweet has been retweeted nearly 1,000 times and been ‘liked’ by nearly 2,000 users.
Stourbridge saw the humorous side, jokingly replying that ‘no wives were harmed’ during the game…

The Glassboys went on to beat Royston 2-1 to climb up to 3rd in the table. As of today they remain in the same position, but Royston Town replace Coalville Town in 2nd and Kettering Town sit top with a few more points more ahead than everyone else.
After the tweet was posted, football fans quickly jumped to mock the error as well as giving their hilarious responses – take a look at those tweets on the next page.
