Stockport County boss Dave Challinor speaks after his X-rated rant at his own fans invading the pitch in their FA Cup win vs Bolton.
It was a night to remember for the Hatters as they came back from behind twice to go on a thrashed the League One outfit in an entertaining 5-3 victory.
Stockport’s newest boss left many viewers laughing towards the end of the match as a number of supporters legged it onto the pitch not just following the final goal but then again at full time.
BBC cameras caught him mouthing “fucking idiots” whilst also telling Stockport fans running onto the field of play to “fuck off”.
However after the final whistle, speaking with the media, he went on to say he understood the fans’ emotions especially after they saw his side go from 2-0 within the first few minutes of the game, then 3-1 down to secure a second round tie at Rotherham United.
The late pitch invasion after the final goal could spell trouble with the Football Association, so it’s in some way understandable why some couldn’t just wait until after the game at least.

Challinor said: “It was an amazing night for this club, and I get where our fans are coming from in wanting to get on the pitch.
“This kind of night hasn’t happened here for a very long time, so I can understand the passion.
“It really was a special night for everyone, and the lads deserved it.
“We need to use this kind of performance as belief that we can achieve more great things here.
“We were facing adversity at 3-1 down, but the lads showed unbelievable character in coming back like we did.
“We deserved that result.”
Bolton boss Ian Evatt pulled no punches after the game, left feeling gutted at was one of the worst performances he had seen since becoming the club’s manager.
He said: “From minute one to minute 120 we were out-played, out-fought, out-battled and out-ran.
“There have been a few lows during my time at this club, but that was the worst we’ve played since I’ve been here.
“Credit to Stockport, they deserved to win, but we’ve let everybody at the club down with this performance.
“To run, scrap and fight for the cause has to be a minimum ask here, but we just didn’t do any of that nearly enough.
“We’ve let our fans and everyone at the club down in front of the TV cameras.”
“That was a special night here”

Totally agree. Pitch invasion is not the county way. I wanted to see the boys and manager walking around the edge of Pitch acknowledging the fans and being acknowledged by the fans like they used to.
