A steward tackles a pitch invader, Axel Disasi scores a freak own goal, and majority of fans at Stamford Bridge mock Chelsea with chants.
Cucurella put the hosts ahead on 13 minutes, Jackson breezed past Vestergaard and sent a pass across the six-yard box for the unmarked Cucurella to score.
Just over 10 minutes later, Fatawu’s challenge on Sterling gave Chelsea the chance to double their lead from the spot. Sterling picked himself up to take the penalty himself but it was saved by Stolarczyk, who guessed the right way and with that it was an easy stop down to his right.
Sky Sports News’ Gary Cotterill at Stamford Bridge: “Leicester fans taunting Ben Chilwell again, who’s warming up in front of them. ‘He sits on the bench’, is the gist of it.”
Another one to forget for Sterling before the break. a wonderful pass through from Caicedo sent Sterling on his way, through on goal down the middle – but clipped his shot well wide of the right-hand post.
Then Chelsea got their second just as the half time whistle was coming. He shook off his own struggle to tee up Palmer, who tucked in from six yards out.
Leicester got one back on 51 minutes, as Gusto threw the ball to centre-back Disasi, who ran back towards his own goal under pressure from Daka, but sent a wayward pass straight into his own net. Nowhere near his intended target of Sanchez.

Gary Cotterill at Stamford Bridge: “You’ve got to love the Leicester fans. When Disasi has the ball, they all cry ‘SHOOOOOT!'”
On 61 minutes, a pitch invader was quickly dealt with, tackled to the ground and a group of stewards surrounding the individual.
Alex Howell (BBC Sport at Stamford Bridge): “That goal comes from great pressing from Patson Daka. Disasi gets his pass all wrong and somehow fires it past Sanchez from about 30-yards from goal. Pochettino cannot believe it and stands with his hands on his hips.”
Martin Keown (Former England defender on BBC One): “That is ridiculous. Disasi, what is he doing? That was all down to concentration. Who is clued in? Who is in the right position. The goalkeeper is way out of position. He’s just got to roll it back to the keeper.”

Then Leicester were level almost immediately after. Mavididi dribbled the ball towards Gusto, done a few step-overs, got into space and bent a beauty into the far corner.
On 71 minutes, Jackson spun Vestergaard and went through on goal… but Doyle came over and brought him down.
A yellow card was given to the defender because he is deemed to be making a genuine attempt for the ball. but VAR had a look and replays showed the first contact was in the D… VAR decided the foul was outside the box. But due to the ruling around the punishment changes, it meant Doyle’s yellow became a red.
Sterling took took the free-kick off Palmer and subsequently missed just like his penalty. Not a popular man in the ground.
Sky Sports’ Charlotte Marsh at Stamford Bridge: “Boos around Stamford Bridge at that change.
“It’s clear who they want to come off and ‘you don’t know what you’re doing’ is aimed at Pochettino.
“But Mudryk gets a nice applause from the fans as he makes his way around the pitch to the dugout.”
The 92nd minute saw Chelsea re-take the lead through Chukwuemeka, a one-two with Palmer opened it up for the sub.
Palmer backheeled it for Chukwuemeka to tuck in the finish.
This is just his ninth appearance for Chelsea in what has been an injury-hit season for the youngster. He’s made it count.
Then in the 98th minute, Madueke made it 4-2, made his way past Justin and Akgun then lopped a deflected shot past Stolarczyk.

Chelsea midfielders Cole Palmer and Carney Chukwuemeka to BBC One. Palmer: “Hard work. We know what Leicester are like, they are a top team, play good football. A difficult afternoon, glad to get back to Wembley.
Chukwuemeka: “The coach said go on and express yourself, which I did. Cole said to me before the game, if I come on, he will assist me and fair play. His IQ is amazing, I knew as soon as I played it, he would find me. Fair play to him.
Palmer: “Try and help the team as much as possible, in tough moments, in good moments, that’s what I’m there for.
Palmer on England: “I’m looking forward to it, my second time with England, it will be great to see the lads.
Chukwuemeka on the FA Cup: “We wanted to win a trophy this season, now we’re in the last four so hopefully, we can still do that.”
