Southend United amuse fans with cheeky dig at West Ham in brilliant video unveiling 2024/25 kits

Southend United amuse fans on social media with a cheeky dig at West Ham in a brilliant video unveiling their 2024/25 home and away kits.

Things are quickly looking much more positive for the Shrimpers in the space of a week since the takeover was completed.

Season ticket sales have soared, a lot of new investors, partnerships and sponsors have confirmed, and now the unveiling of the kits are proving very popular.

A video was published by the club on Friday morning (26 July), and quickly got everyone’s attention, take a look at it for yourself below…

CLUB STATEMENT:

The Club can reveal our new home and away kits for the 2024/25 season, designed by Macron.

Our navy blue home kit features yellow pinstripes on the shirt and a yellow collar, while the shorts also include touches of yellow. It’s the most prominent use of yellow on the home shirt since the ‘custard splat’ kit of the 1990s.

The away shirt is predominantly red for the first time in 15 years. It is the same design as the home kit, with the pinstripes and collar in navy blue. The logos of the Club and Macron are in yellow.

c2c were announced yesterday as our new front-of-shirt partners, with Nelmo & CoD2 Design & Build and Workplace Safety Solutions also appearing on the brand-new shirts.

The kits will be available to purchase online here and in person at the club shop from 10am today (Friday).

The shirt is priced at £50 for adults (M-5XL) and £45 for juniors (4XS-S). Shorts are £20 for adults (M-3XL) and £16.50 for juniors (3XXS-S), and socks are £12 for adults and £10 for juniors.

The club also said earlier in the week that they had been left blown away by the reaction to the 2024/25 season tickets going on sale, with 1,354 new ticket holders purchase in the first week and 1,875 fans renewing from 2023/24, meaning there is a total of 3,229 season tickets sold, and this has already passed last year’s amount.

Southend add: “2023/24 season/half-season ticket holders have until Thursday 1st August to secure their current seat, at which point those seats will be released.

“Everyone at the Club thanks you for the incredible support you’ve shown this week. If you haven’t bought a season ticket yet, you can do so HERE.

“Should everyone who’s left to renew take up their seat, we look set to have over 4,500 season ticket holders for the new season.”
