It’s been around ten days now since West Bromwich Albion bizarrely sacked Darren Moore, and it looked like they were potentially close to replacing him fast, however that doesn’t seem the case now.
Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett has tweeted on social media this afternoon that they are in fact no closer to appointing a new boss and could even have an interim until the end of the season.
Dorsett said: “#wbafc no closer to appointing new manager, I understand. Considering option of interim boss, or an experienced coach to work with Shan til end of season. Board want right long-term appointment, but v different demands in Champs or Prem. Jokanovic and Neil still being considered.”

Moore guided the Baggies to fourth in the Championship, however poor form saw them go from promotion contender to you could say playoff hopefuls.
Former Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic is the favourite to take over, though other bookies are saying current Preston North End manager Alex Neil old look to replace him at the top of the odds.
David Moyes is in third with Bristol City boss Lee Johnson climbing up to fourth favourite.
James Shan, the current caretaker of West Brom, is in fifth whilst Michael Appleton, David Wagner, Nigel Pearson, Gary Rowett and Aitor Karanka are also listed.
Appleton has stated he is open to an approach from the club, stating: “The reality is, I know a lot of people at West Brom, from the chief executive down to the people who work on a matchday.
“They have all got my number, it has not changed in all that time, so we will watch this space really.”
David Wagner has already come out and say he is not interested in the job, according to Sky Sports.
Despite Dorsett’s tweet, Matt Wilson of the Express and Star tweeted: “Albion’s board set to finalise decision over new head coach early this week. Jokanovic and Neil the main contenders. Shan says it’s an appealing job for anybody”.
