Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol has been praised by thousands as he goes in on the BBC regarding their Gary Lineker announcement.
The reporter has brilliantly explained why the MOTD presenter was suspended by BBC for violating impartiality guidelines.
Kaveh Solhekol outlined instances where other presenters held political opinions after tweets were posted this week criticising Rishi’s new asylum policy.
The sports pundit compared the language ministers use about asylum seekers with “that used in Germany in the 1930s”.
Solhekol began by asking why Andrew Neil doesn’t express “political opinions” on Twitter without being rebuffed.
Robbie Gibb was also questioned about his role in the corporation. He used to work as a communications specialist for Theresa May.

Kaveh said in the clip gone viral: “But a lot of people are looking at this and saying, how come Andrew Neal, one of the most high profile political journalists and interviewers on the BBC for many, many years, how come he is allowed to be the chairman of a right wing magazine, The Spectator?
“How come he is allowed to express political opinions on Twitter as much as he wants?
“How come the Chairman of the BBC, Richard Sharp, the Chairman is somebody who donated £400,000 to theConservative Party, someone who has helped arrange an £800,000 loan for the former Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.
“How come Robbie Gibb, or as we have to call him, Sir Robbie Gibb, who used to be the Communications Director for the former Prime Minister, Theresa May, how come he’s on the BBC board at the moment?
“Why is Alan Sugar allowed to say what he wants on Twitter about political matters? What about Jeremy Clarkson? He’s got a column in The Sun, he’s got a column in the Sunday Times. He was on the BBC. He frequently expressed political opinions, which many people think are extreme on social media.
“And why is the Director General of the BBC, Tim Davy? The Director General? He used to be the Deputy Chairman of the Hammersmith and Fulham Conservative Party. He’s a man who’s stood as a candidate in local elections for the Conservative Party.
“So why is all this allowed? Yet Gary Lineker is not allowed to make a fairly innocuous comment, which many, many people would agree with about a policy that has been condemned by the United Nations and also by many human rights groups.And this is the same Gary Lineker who’s been allowed on the BBC to criticise the human rights record of Qatar.
“Why is he not allowed to criticise the human rights record of the country he lives in?”

As mentioned, Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol was praised as he goes in on the BBC regarding the Gary Lineker announcement…
@GlasgowStPauli: Nor ones to give Sky credit for anything, but every second of this is bang on 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
@R_o_M: How do the @bbc come back from this? They’ve absolutely fucked themselves.
@SPFLWatch: An excellent summary of the situation in two minutes, and pointing out the clear hypocrisy on show. Bang on the money here.
@SpaJw: This is on Sky Sports, watched by a lot of people who will not religiously follow the general news everyday. Many of them will be learning in detail about Tory control of the BBC for the first time here.
@DenbeighLayton: Take a bow son! 👋 Tells is as it is and nails it! The hypocrisy stinks as does the Tory take over of our @BBC
@djgwild: Never thought I’d see this on Sky Sports News 👏👏👏
@Lee_efc1: Cant stand him at all, but he has got this spot on 👍
@WillAustin1964: Listen up, @BBC.
@GarethW2610: Absolutely spot on
@NatAlleyCat: I am so happy to see that even in football, people are realising that politics cannot be avoided. Those jobs exist at all because of macro contexts. Corporations like the BBC and the Statesman they cozy up to understand this and think they can exploit power however they wish.
@HammersMatchday: Well said @SkyKaveh
@BeanpoleBill: Kaveh is the hero we never expected, most thought he was just some transfer rumour slot filler on SSN but he’s actually a decent human and a good journalist.
@michaelbuxton96: Don’t normally agree with Kaveh on anything but he’s put his balls on the line here !!!! Fair fuckin play
@RepStones: When you stop and think about it – a well known public figure has faced sanction for criticising a Govt policy – this is actually quite a foreboding thing and itself harks back to darker times
@nickbellofbpl: Absolutely bang on the money.
@garyrobbo81: Bravo @SkyKaveh Summed up perfectly. For years now, the @Conservatives have been placing their men in to powerful positions in what is supposed to be a politically neutral organisation in the Beeb. Today’s decision had exposed the BBC as no longer politically independent.
@JamesSinfield: Probably one of the best videos I’ve seen explaining the double standards going on.👇🏻
@pspeck_ld_tech: You’ve proper fucked it this time @BBC I can’t believe I’m now in the position of actually believing that you are a politically motivated organisation… A conservative government machine without a spine.
@Akki_GymGuy: Protect Kaveh at all costs. 🙌🏾
@swindonsixties: This is spot on. Unfortunately this Lineker affair is just another step in the Tories strategy to destroy of a great British institution, the BBC. Death by a thousand cuts.
@adamtweets85: Sky Sports and MOTD pundits and reporters in unison 💪🏻 The Tories and the BBC have picked the wrong person in Gary Lineker to shit on
@djs_19_6: Who’d have thought @skykaveh who usually chats a bit of bollocks every transfer window would use his influence to make people aware of how corrupt two of the biggest business empires in the world are #bbc #uefa
@Ollie_Furniss10: Spot on from Kaveh, unfortunately as a result he’ll probably wake up unemployed tomorrow morning.
@harryadamsss: This is a seriously impressive & well thought out analysis of the situation – worded better than I’ve seen anywhere else.
@drjennings: This is worth two minutes of your time, and why the whole Lineker affair could have much wider political consequences… it pulls at a very substantial thread.
@DKMacPhee: Sky Sports does not miss this open goal! All shots on target! 👏👏
@AlfiesSquad: Spot on with this!
@PED7: This is fucking tremendous
