Sky Sports have been forced to change their advert after supporters of English Football League clubs have slammed them.
It comes after the advert claimed that newly promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers spent years “in the wilderness”.
Fans were quick to hit out and laugh at Sky Sports, who also have the television rights to show the Football League.
It has been said by The Sun that a new version of the advert is now being broadcast without the wilderness ‘jibe’.
The original advert had been noticed also by Wolves supporters.
There have also been some come out in support for Sky Sports by saying, “Their nickname is ‘wolves’, ‘wilderness’ is a play on this.”
Check out more of that reaction to the original advert and their changes to it on the next page.
