Sky Sports faces backlash from viewers over segment with YouTubers and Ref Watch

Sky Sports faces backlash from viewers over a segment with YouTubers and Ref Watch covering the Man Utd v Arsenal game.

The broadcaster faces criticism on social media, with pundit Dermot Gallagher demonstrating how to measure ten yards while on Ref Watch, which was criticised for its triviality.

And before the Premier League fixture on Sunday, Sky Sports posted a clip of Angryginge calling Arsenal fans ‘delusional’ after Chunkz said it would be an easy three points at Old Trafford for the Gunners.

Many viewers have voiced their disappointment over the quality of football analysis, with some even saying it was enough that would see them cancel their subscriptions.

As mentioned, Sky Sports faces backlash from viewers over a segment of Ref Watch and it’s overall coverage…

@thegaffer1969:
Fucking hell 🤣🤣🤣
Shower of sad twats

@LewisJones_90: Considering how much it costs these days to watch football in this country, it’s baffling how rubbish mainstream football coverage is. Though how it’s has reached this depth of awful is quite extraordinary

@JordanRidsdel: Absolute bollocks. We pay for this shit

@AWBurns91: Think this says everything about Sky Sports today, no further elaboration needed.

@MF1886: Feel bad for anyone who pays to watch this shit

@JackHerbertt: Is this really what Sky Sports has become? Jesus

@Andybelcher85: Absolutely farcical. Genuinely lost for words with these lot

@s_trxws: The absolute state of Sky Sports. It’s utterly fucking unbearable.

@Jackg1878: State of this from sky trying to charge people ridiculous prices a month to watch football then serve up this shit for analysis after the game embarrassing

@GE3Loyal: And you wonder why people would rather pay £80 a year for a firestick than £120 a month for tactical insight like this from “AngryGinge” and “Chunkz”. You’re honestly a fucking embarrassment @SkySports

@NOELY1982: £100+ a month

@dean_cd4: The fact you have given these pricks a platform is fucking embarrassing. An absolute shitshow of a company

@NUFCcook:
Sky: Pay us 100 quid a month, stop using firesticks to watch football 😢
Also Sky:

@CicoConnor: €100 a month for sky packages only to be gifted punditry as bad as this on Sunday! Ginger fella and the Chunky lad spouting shite… 🤮 @SkySports embarrassing.

@PatchJS: Maybe I’m completely wrong (surely they know their customers better than I do) but I’m confident that people who actually pay for Sky Sports are more likely to be older (and much much wiser) than the target audience of these two idiots. Please pander to our interests.

@LouieJLambert1: This is how pathetic this lot have become now. I want to know just one thing, why do the club still grant this shower access to our players and manager?

@Jackg1878: State of this from sky trying to charge people ridiculous prices a month to watch football then serve up this shit for analysis after the game embarrassing

@RyanKennedy1992: Imagine spending years of your life and thousands of pounds studying to be a sports journalist only to see opportunities given to fucking idiots with no mates and only a social media following

@CraggerRagger: When exactly did sky sports become more ridiculous than even AFTV? 😂

@Gre9orypeck09: Alexa, show me why nobody pays for Sky Sports anymore.

@greeny_009: Fucking state of it

@ManYooDan: Sky Sports has never been lower as a sports broadcaster. Used to be the go-to for anything about football. Now it’s filled with utter shite and I’m not even sure who the target audience is.

@ScottGunner1: Took soccer am from us and now getting YouTubers to do this 😂😂

@JackStoneham17: People pay a sky subscription to listen to these tools ?

@hurricane_wyatt: And sky wonder why people watch the games on dodgy foreign streams. £40 a month for this shite.

@tombromley64: Given the state of this shite punditry the only saving grace of my sky sports subscription these days is the darts. Mind you, given how shite that was the other day dunno if that’s even true anymore

@benleo444: £100 a month for complete Sky Sports package alongside broadband etc… No 3pm kick-offs of our own national leagues. And they serve up YouTubers pre match for United Arsenal.

@PaulMacdFC: The best advert for a firestick you’ll ever find

@liam_fowler: This is the exact reason why people would rather a fire stick than sky spots nowadays, turning the game into a mockery with these fame hungry morons getting airtime
