Sky and BT Sport to televise these classic matches this weekend

Sky and BT Sport are to televise these classic matches this weekend in place of live Premier League, EFL, National League and cup action.

Both companies are reworking their schedules to keep people entertained, mainly by showing re-runs of past cup finals, playoffs and even their much loved Premier League Years episodes, though it means households won’t get the initial service they signed up for.

It’s been revealed that neither of them will be offering money back for the lack of live football which have been postponed.

The BBC’s Dan Walker will present Football Focus at 12:00pm Saturday, before Guy Mowbray introduces five classic World Cup matches in the World Cup Rewind at 2:30pm.

The 2018 World Cup last-16 thriller between France and Argentina will also be available to watch on the BBC Sport website, Red Button and BBC iPlayer at 3:30pm.

At 10:20pm, the MOTD podcast sees Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Ian Wright discuss the top 10 goalkeepers of the Premier League era, and then at 11pm, Alan Shearer will pick three classic matches in the first episode ‘Match of Their Day’.
