Sheffield Wednesday have parted company with head coach Carlos Carvalhal by mutual consent following their 1-2 defeat to Middlesbrough.
Sheffield Wednesday had taken the lead in the first half however, second-half strikes from Johny Howson and Ryan Shotton meant Wednesday extended their winless run to 7 games after the third consecutive defeat.

Carlos Carvalhal had been in the role for 2 and half years guiding the Owls to the playoffs in his first 2 seasons. The 2017/18 campaign hasn’t gone quite so well with Wednesday recording just 6 wins out of 23 league matches, his win ratio whilst in charge was 42.7% from his 131 games in charge.
