Sheffield Wednesday fan gives update after video shows him falling between train and platform

A Sheffield Wednesday fan gives an update via Twitter after a video shows him falling between the train and platform last week.

The male was Dave Iggo, and had been on his way to the League One playoff final with the Owls taking on Barnsley, and subsequently won with Josh Windass scoring with the last kick of extra time.

And he made sure he wasn’t going to be missing it, as after the incident, he was helped up, luckily avoided any serious injury and hobbled his way to Wembley.

Dave realised the video has surfaced online and was doing the rounds, so took to give his followers and fans watching the clip and update on how he was getting on.

@Daveiggo66 wrote: “Of all the comments, I can take the banter and insults. It was me and the police tried to make me go to hospital but I said Iโ€™m not missing match. Thanks for your concern. โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿฆ‰๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

“Just embarrassing. Had my nephew with me and I was meant to look after him! ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

“I was bloody lucky. Itโ€™s painful but at least I got to Wembley.โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿฆ‰

“Cheers, itโ€™s sore but I got to match so alls well. ๐Ÿ‘

“All these years waiting for Wednesday to do something and that happens. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

“I can take it. Iโ€™ve done worse! Like a cat wi 9 lives ๐Ÿ˜‚

“…just cuts and bruises. Could have been worse. I got to game so it was worth it โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ‰๐Ÿ˜‚

“Iโ€™d had a few ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ†โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿฆ‰

“Police tried to make me go to hospital but I said Iโ€™m not missing match unless my legs come off. Hobbled all the way up to ground ๐Ÿ˜‚

There was more chaos on the trains on Bank Holiday weekend with a Coventry fan says train chaos led to โ€˜vomiting and urinating themselvesโ€™ on the way back from the playoff final at Wembley.

Train passenger Darren Robinson expressed his frustration as rail services became got extremely overwhelmed last Saturday while left shocked at the lack of organisation on the trains.

He adds that train cancellations caused โ€˜mayhemโ€™ at London Euston with fans seen leaping over barriers which led to panic from families with kids, the disabled and the elderly.
