Seven non league clubs vote to end season immediately as 68 teams have until May 7th choose whether they want the campaign to finish or not.
It’s been revealed that Chester, King’s Lynn Town, Wealdstone and Hemel Hempstead Town are the latest teams to approve of the National League’s proposal to cancel all remaining fixtures.

Kings Lynn owner Stephen Cleeve revealed his vote on his podcast (listen HERE) with Wealdstone president Paul Rumens.
On Saturday afternoon, radio presenter Shane Pinnington added that he understood that Chester FC have voted to end the current National League North season.
Those four clubs join AFC Fylde, Hereford and Oxford City to admit they will be voting in the same way, ‘putting the whole league first by voting to stop the season.’
Should the League’s resolution pass, a second vote would then take place to determine the outcomes of the season.
Just two days ago, the BBC found that 10 of the 24 National League clubs want the season to end immediately, four want it to continue, nine can’t make up their minds and one has refused to give an answer.
The majority want clarity on what they are actually voting for as it’s unclear what the options are and how they will determine the outcomes of the leagues.
Fans gave their reaction after finding out on the seven non league clubs who vote to end season immediately…

Really think there is no right answer to any of this so I’m just going to accept what happens as long as Wrexham go down.

The only way forward tbh

? Wealdstone. Really ???

All true, but it is important that once this is all over people have social things to do and enjoy and Non-League football fits that bill.

Agree 100%. It is an ill wind…but I think that community based clubs will appeal to people after this is all over rather than the extreme capitalism of the Premier League – and I am not being political there.

But no one truly knows what ending the season means. Surely that’s more of the issue?
— Samuel Margo (@SamuelMargo) April 18, 2020
Surely the National league has to be ended. However, it really should go down to PPG in terms of a conclusion imo.

They want ppg. They know carrying on the season won’t work as they’ll either go pop or their form will continue to crumble so they want it stopped now, prompted on ppg then can prepare for the conference
