A serious accusation has been made as Exeter City suspend their top scorer Jevani Brown over a ‘disciplinary matter’ on Friday..
Exeter City have announced that Jevani Brown, the top scorer for the club, will not be playing in Saturday’s League One fixture with Charlton Athletic because of a ‘club discipline matter’.
He has netted 14 times so far this season, making the 28-year old is the club’s top goal scorer, while producing nine more assists to become the second-highest goal contributor in the third tier.

Brown was the subject of a Portsmouth bid on the last day of the transfer window, which was rejected by the Grecians.
Exeter City claims he didn’t train with the team Friday but was seen leaving St James Park on Thursday with his teammates following a training session.
Gary Caldwell stated that Brown and Josh Key, for whom the club had received a transfer offer, were both ‘fully committed’ and ‘will give everything to the club until the end’.
BBC Sport approached Exeter for further information about the nature of the disciplinary matter. The Grecians declined to comment.
Exeter City wrote: “Jevani Brown did not train with the team today and will not play in tomorrow’s game against Charlton Athletic due to a club disciplinary matter.”
Meanwhile, Exeter boss Gary Caldwell insisted on Thursday that the former Cambridge United and Colchester ace – plus Josh Key, who was also linked with a move away in January – were ‘fully committed’ to the club.
‘We value Jevani very highly, he’s a player that has the second-highest goal contributions in the league this season, he has really thrived at this level and shows his quality every week,’ said Caldwell.
‘I spoke to him and Josh Key, who we had bids for as well.
‘I didn’t keep anything from them, I spoke to them and kept them up to speed with everything so that they could inform me how they felt.
‘They’re fully committed and ready to give everything for the club until the end of the season.’
That commitment won’t be on show on Saturday, however, with Brown not available for selection.
Twitter user Kayley @KayleyYasmin, tweeted: “@OfficialECFC forgot to mention his attacked on my sober 20 year old sister unprovoked, while he was drunk & high. Spitting in her face, shouting abuse & punching her in the face to knock her to the ground and punching her in the back of her head repeatedly @jevanibrown scum bag.”
“and why would he be disciplined if he was innocent 🤔🤔”
