Second half incident leads to ‘brawl’ with FOUR red cards as Bala and TNS players clash

Second half incident leads to a ‘brawl’ with FOUR red cards dished out as Bala and TNS players clash in their midweek game.

The New Saints extended their lead at the top of the JD Cymru Premier table to two points after playing out a 0-0 draw at Bala Town on Wednesday night, but it was marred by heated scenes.

Bala tweeted on the 54th minute of the game: “Ollie Shannon and Adrian Cieslewicz have been sent off following a brawl. Ryan Valentine and Craig Harrison have also been sent off from the benches. Yellow cards have also been brandished, however we are unsure who.”

TNS said in their match report: “Not long after that opportunity, the game briefly descended into chaos following a coming together between Ollie Shannon and Adrian Cieslewicz.

“Players from both sides were involved in a melee in front of the dugouts, and both Cieslewicz and Shannon were both shown their marching orders once order was restored.”

Yellow cards: Marriott (56), Young (86)
Red cards: Cieslewicz (54), Craig Harrison (54)
Substitutions: Young for Clark (66), Canavan for Smith (85)

Here’s what social media users said after a second half incident leads to big brawl with FOUR red cards handed out as Bala and TNS players clash…

@fearlessidzine: You can take the boys out of Wrexham, but you can’t take the Wrexham out of the boys…

@CaruPelDroedCym: Cymru Premier. You’ve got to love it. This is top of the table clash heritage.

@willcall1985: Quiet night at Maes Tegid then, blimey!

@JarvoB: Get stuck in there Cheesy lad! 👊🏻

@GPB56: Tonight’s wrestling comes from Maes Tegud, Bala..

@GPB56: But seriously, I would love to know what Cies is supposed to have done. Appeal incoming, I think..

@leechambo11: Hes ran off with his hands around a bala players neck 🙄

@judge1783: Headlock for a start.

@BeeneyG123:
not hold onto his neck and drag him
down with him 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Dan_Dan_Dan___: Is he one holding the Bala player around the neck under his arm when they fall over?

@Dbullen70: It’s football not WWE, no need to have Abadeki in a headlock. What a 🤡🤡🤡

@jackabe10: Craig would of weighed tha fella in.

@ChrisLe11767290: Ridiculously over the top reffing

@Kevinev14485227: Get on with it ffs like a load of fucking tarts

@john_mcal: Seriously 4 reds shown for this?? 😂😂

@GEvans7777: Getting as bad as rugby!

@ShaunLock16: I wonder if they have to go to court and get fined £1250 like i recived for “time wasting” 🤷‍♂️🤦

@JakeParry: What did Bala’s #29 and assistant coach actually do to warrant red cards there?? TNS acting like a gang of entitled pricks as usual, in other news water is wet.

@DictateTheGame: FM Feature Request: Grip opposition manager! #FM24

@M_J_Wallace: “Golygfeidd da ni ddim agen i ni weld” rough translation…these are scenes we don’t need to see. I know it’s the commentary manual but I love it!

@The94thMin: Some Wednesday night #AEWDynamite action going on at Maes Tegid 😂 🟥🟥🟥🟥

@matdavies29: Like a scene from the wwe fastest I’ve seen craig harrison move in years 😂

@HazRJones: Thought UFC was Saturdays . Great submission move from Cieslewicz

@HanGwenllian: How on earth is Ollie Shannon sent off there? He got a punch to the face 🤯

@NicLatham1: What! 🤯🤯🤯

@marcwebber: Yeah, but Welsh football is boring. 😆

Jim Edwards: Silly boys, grow up. Hope its 3 games, should be for violent conduct 😡🥊

John Vaughan: Jim Edwards the TNS player didn’t do much wrong, 2 yellows would of been enough and a red for managers getting involved! Imo

Al Hitchin: John Vaughan lol he had the guy in a headlock ffs. Red all day

John Vaughan: Al Hitchin watch the Bala player, he takes a TNS player out then goes after the ball and fouls Ciez who is probably the cleanest player you’ll ever see. Whether that’s a headlock or whether the Bala player gets up and pushes against him you can’t prove from that video but for me 2 x yellows and a red for Harrison for his reaction imo

Mark Fowler: Only had a Bala player in a headlock!!!
