‘Scandalous’ – Fans fume after seeing Sheffield Wednesday’s 2025/26 season ticket prices

‘Scandalous’ – Fans fume after seeing Sheffield Wednesday’s 2025/26 season ticket prices, with many opting for non league instead.

The club announced the sale of 2025/26 season tickets, but it sparked backlash due to ongoing fan discontent with owner Dejphon Chansiri, who has been criticised for financial mismanagement, including late player payments in March 2025.

Fans expressed frustration, with some refusing to buy tickets until Chansiri leaves, reflecting a broader protest movement using hashtags like #EnoughIsEnough and #ChansiriOut.

The post’s timing is contentious as the club faces potential relegation and the expected departure of successful manager Danny Röhl, with fans like @tommyuto citing high ticket prices (£800) and preferring cheaper alternatives like Hallam FC, highlighting the deepening rift between the club’s ownership and its supporters.

It’ll be over £3k by august

@tommyuto: @HallamFC1860 get your season tickets up please. I’m not paying £800 to watch Wednesday get relegated.

@harvey_walters_: Yes get in, been waiting for this! I’ll have 5!

@_Andy__Lee: Where has the money gone – please provide proof of funds to run the club. CHANSIRI OUT

@jam_1867: Phase four hundred and seventy six.. for those who couldn’t afford one straight after Christmas. You are now getting punished as if you aren’t as loyal because it’s taken you a bit more time to get the money together.. Sky high prices and the season hasn’t even ended.

@Covlad459811: These prices are a disgrace I hope you guys do the right thing and made a stand against this your chance to vote with your feet and get this owner gone get some one that will respect your fans

@Molloyowls: Best of luck with this. I’m guessing you’ve already spent the money you’re hoping to get from this phase?

@JackDagnallV: No Rohl, Chansiri at the top, Frees & Loans, Relegation scrap, the list goes on. No thanks #swfc

@IanSWFC80: Sky showing 20 games per team a season, people using a fire stick, concession prices rocketing, mid table wage budget, low end spend on players, run down stadium, overall experience pitiful. Could not care less about current or future fans! How do the club arrive at these prices!

@ashkitson1867: 940 quid for me and Harvey. No home win since January, no money to spend on players. No manager, players get paid as and when. Chairman is the hitler of the football league. I’ll give it a miss thanks lads

@SwfcGurny: £780 to sit in the south stand to watch a squad made up off free’s loans and League one players get relegated from League One 🤣🤣🤣 get this fucker out our club

@jakerowl1: You can just see them huddled round a board room table. “Any suggestions after the last week?” “What about putting season tickets back on sale, £780 in the south, that should lift the mood” “I like

@ChrisSWFC92: Who the fuck do we think we are 😂

@iballmunki1: Fucking hell, read the room DC 🤣🤣 £150 more expensive than the cheapest Prem ticket 👊💦

@ronn1eowl: £700 for my Dad to watch us in a championship relegation scrap. It’s a fucking joke

@logieowls: I know this will irk the ‘ST clan’, but you’re fuelling the problem if you renew. Our club is in total despair with a Chairman happy to feed on our bones. Just pick your games and pay a couple of days beforehand. You really don’t need to sit in the ‘same’ seat each week 😉…

@MattJohno1989: That’s the thing I’ve always said about this owner and his prices he’s just got his finger right on the pulse 😂😂😂. No manager, 12 out of contract players, handful off fees paid out in the last 5 years. No plan, no vision shared and don’t you dare ask questions or moan #swfc

@antonyc88: SEVEN HUNDRED AND EIGHTY POUNDS!!!! That’s outrageous. Even our cheapest is £150 more than the cheapest premier league season ticket

@Gothard_1986: And not a penny will go on the squad

@allymitchell10: No thanks. After 10 plus years of season tickets I won’t be stepping foot inside of hillsborough till Chansiri leaves
