Salford City boss Karl Robinson had himself in a furious rant at referee Jacob Miles after a 2-1 defeat to Grimsby Town.
The Ammies head coach hit out at Miles over the decision not to award his side a penalty with Salford going on to fall to their fourth league defeat of the campaign.
Not even a minute on the clock and Grimsby were ahead. Danny Rose played the ball into Luca Barrington who fired home through the legs of Jamie Jones.
Quarter of the way through the first half, Cole Stockton headed home from a Nmai cross to give Salford the equaliser.
Just before the break, Barrington found the net again and his effort taking a huge deflection off Salford defender Stephan Negru to give Grimsby the lead.
Salford’s Ossama Ashley and Junior Luamba struck hit the woodwork twice
Robinson took issue with Miles’ performance after the game, aggrieved at the decision to snub a penalty appeal when Kelly N’Mai went to ground.
The result sees Salford sitting 16th in League Two with 12 points from 10 games, while Grimsby are 8th with 18 points from 11 games.

Salford’s Karl Robinson said: “I would love to know how it could be that bad of a performance, it’s impossible.
“The penalty is an absolute disgrace. I can say our defending and finishing was a disgrace at times today as well, but that was only part of the story today.
“Some of the tackles as well, I’m surprised that some of my players aren’t in a worse place. I’d say the better team lost. At the end of the day they won, but I am absolutely fuming on external influences on the result.
“It sounds worse when you lose, but at the end of the day that was not an acceptable performance from the officials today.
“Our defending for the two goals was appalling, though, and I’ve gone absolutely crazy at the players. We were the better team today and I don’t think anybody could argue that with the chances we created.”
Robinson said per the club website: “It was appalling defending for the goals and horrific finishing.
“The whole part of the philosophy is that you don’t get caught in certain zones in the first half, trying to overplay in certain areas where you get exposed.
“There were multiple opportunities that we had where we could have taken the lead. We have to be better in those areas as you can imagine but I have a very clear understanding of how we stupidly started the game and how we finished the game.
“The flippancy to our finishing was unacceptable, we need to score more goals otherwise we are going to find this a very long season. This team is good enough to be successful, but they’ve got to find a way to be more clinical.”
