Romford’s newest signings include League Two winner, a former Liverpool youngster and a TOWIE star

It continues to be a busy week of signings at Glenn Tamplin’s Romford, who in the last two days have announced eight new players.

Monday’s batch included League Two winner Ryan Cresswell, ex-Liverpool youngster Adam Morgan, former Billericay Town player Mekhi McLeod and TOWIE star Jake Hall.

Ryan Cresswell, 31, joins from National League North side Bradford Park Avenue but previously played for Boston United and Eastleigh following a long career in the EFL for Morecambe, Macclesfield Town, Southend United, Rotherham United, Bury, Fleetwood Town and Northampton Town.

Adam Morgan joins from Widnes after having numerous non league stints at Mossley, Curzon Ashton, FC Halifax Town, Colwyn Bay and Hemel Hempstead. The 25 year old has also played for Rotherham United, Yeovil Town, St Johnstone, Accrington, Sligo Rovers and England’s U17 and U19 sides.

Jake Hall, 26, used to be in ITV’s The Only Way Is Essex show, but away from that, he has played for several non-league clubs including Grays Athletic, Bromley, Billericay Town and Boston United.

Mekhi McLeod, 23, has played for quite a list of clubs considering how long he’s been in the game for. His previous clubs include Fulham (youth), Wolves (youth), Rangers, Ware, VCD Athletic, Eastleigh, Billericay, Accrington, Southport, Warrington, Halifax and Coggeshall.

On Tuesday, Glenn Tamplin announced another four, making eight additions in two days.

Forward Phil Roberts, 25, spent his youth career at Norwich City and Arsenal, before crossing the border to Scotland at clubs such as Inverness, Falkirk, Dundee and Alloa as well as a trip to Ireland with Sligo Rovers. In more recent years, he’s played for Chelmsford City, Chesham United, Braintree Town, Hemel Hempstead and Dartford.

Defender/midfielder Tambeson Eyong, 30, is a player once under Glenn Tamplin at Billericay. He’s played for many other sides including AFC Hornchurch, Grays Athletic, Canvey Island, Margate, Heybridge Swifts and Bishop’s Stortford.

20 year old Briggs Ojeman is a midfielder who has made appearances for Bromley and Dagenham & Redbridge.

Theophilus Ola is the latest name dropped by the owner, his previous clubs include Tottenham academy, Mjällby and Hampton & Richmond.
