Jason Banton’s previous club was National League side Braintree Town, where he made 12 appearances and scored 4 times.
But it wasn’t the only team he had been with in 2019, as he’s also made appearances for Truro City, Dulwich Hamlet and Torquay United.
Over the last few years he has also signed for St Albans City, Woking, Partick Thistle, Crawley Town, Notts County, Hartlepool United and Wycombe Wanderers, and that’s just between 2018 and 2015.
The majority of his career was spent at Plymouth Argyle, he had two spells with them. For the 2014/15 season, he helped the Pilgrims reach the League Two play-offs and scored against Wycombe Wanderers in the semi-final home leg. He departed the club that summer.
He was given a contract by Crystal Palace back in 2012, made his first-team debut in an FA Cup tie against Stoke City in January 2013, but then went out on loan to Plymouth, scoring six times, and then headed to MK Dons, finding the net twice in 11 matches.
The Arsenal, Blackburn Rovers and Liverpool youngster signed a contract with Leicester City back in summer 2011 before joining Burton on a loan spell, returned to the Foxes and was let go in December that year.
