After learning this, fans took to reaction on it and respond to Ollie Bayliss’ question about using it higher up the pyramid…
Don't change what isn't broken!! Getting silly now. Leave it be. @FA @NonLeagueCrowd

Sorry but it’s getting a joke now, if the team from the league below wins the play off, will they go up?

No .if you get relegated go in peace .why the hell do u need a second chance

Happy with playoffs but if you finish bottom of a 20 team league you should be relegated.

By the looks of it, they have implemented a play off between step 5 & 4. Winners go to step 4. So there now is actually a play off place for 2nd up for grabs.

I'd have them rather than the stupid "points per game" method of deciding relegation, but only between fellow relegation candidates and only when there is an irregular number of relegation places.

@rljohnny: Is it me or is just becoming too complicated. Should be able to look over the shoulder at teams in your leagues chasing you for promotion not at clubs in several other league you have no control over
@nonleaguenext: What is the point of all this tinkering around? It’s becoming tedious.
@GroundhoppingFC: I enjoyed watching the relegation playoffs in the Bundesliga on BT, it adds tension and excitement to the game. Looking forward to seeing them in England
@frixofeed: If you’re not good enough, you should go down. End of. Not comfortable if it happens to your team, but it’s only more pointless tinkering with a system to create artificial “excitement”. Just leave it alone. It’s worked fine as it is for decades.
@johntuffrey: No, they scrapped em in the professional game because of the crowd trouble. All well and good missing out on promotion but emotions run higher when you’re relegated.
@dawsy21: Another joke from @FA
