Reading release new kit for Comic Relief, fans now want it as next season’s away strip

Yesterday afternoon, Reading released a new kit to raise money for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day and it is so popular that fans now want it as next season’s away strip.

Instead of the blue and white hoops, this limited edition shirt, shorts and shocks are predominantly red with a gold stripe down either side of it.

Take a look at it for yourself in the tweet below…

It will be made available on Friday the 1st of March at 10am with all sizes at just £5 while a full kit with shirts and socks at £10 and all the proceeds of course going to Comic Relief.

Reading’s article on the kit also state: “Our first team as well as a number of our Academy teams are set to train in the red shirts on Friday 15th March (signed worn shirts will be auctioned off for the charity) but this special red kit is really just for our fans! And, in total support of Comic Relief, we want you to help us paint the town red for Red Nose Day.

“The shirts, which have gold trim and the Royals crest emblazoned on its chest, are in limited supply, so act fast if you want to stand out from the crowd in following the Royals for the final 12 games of the season. On Friday 1st March, visit the Megastore from 10am or buy online via readingfcdirect.co.uk from 9am.”

As mentioned already, the strip went down a huge hit with the fans who revealed their love for it, praised the idea and wanted it to be the new away kit for the 2019/20 season – take a look at what they had to say on the next page.
