Rafa Benitez issues a brutal message to fans during his press conference as he fights for his Everton future according to reports.
The manager reminded Toffees supporters of the club’s lack of success in recent seasons, as the head coach continues to fight for his job against a backdrop of uncertainty over his future.
A bleak run of seven Premier League defeats in their last ten matches has put the Spaniard under a big amounts of pressure with the manager favourite to be the next top flight boss to get axed.

Ever since Benitez came in to replace Carlo Ancelotti, who left the club to return to Real Madrid, he has not been a popular presence in the Blues’ dugout.
Not just because of his time managing Liverpool, but for previously labelling Everton a “small club” when at Anfield, so it was always going to take time to try and win over the fans at Goodison Park.
Benitez has risked the wrath of fans once more, by bringing up the club’s shortcomings over the last few campaigns.
“I don’t know if you’re an Everton fan, but which is the feeling of the last years for Everton fans? Success, or frustration?,” Benitez asked during his press conference.
“You know the answer, I have a lot of friends who are telling me the same.
“The problems are not just something you can fix in five months, they know you need time and they know we are going in the right direction.
“One thing is what you can see on the pitch every weekend. The fans at the beginning could see what we were looking for – the intensity, the commitment, the way we were playing.
“Everybody was delighted, then after the frustration of some years they could see we were going in the right direction.”
Everton have failed to lift a major trophy since their FA Cup glory back in the 1994-95 season.
The trophy-less runs are are showing no signs of ending with the club currently sitting 14th with 18 points from 16 games played.
Their 2-1 victory against Arsenal on the 6th of December is their only victory in their last ten matches.
And yet despite the huge backlash greeting his arrival, Benitez’s reign did begin rather impressively with four victories in their opening six league matches.
However, their form, along with their league position, has dropped off ever since, and now his role is being questioned by the mainstream media.
Reports from the Sun have also claimed that Everton have made contact with Wayne Rooney. Believe of that what you will. Personally we can’t see it, but who thought Frank Lampard would leave the Rams and end up at Chelsea as quick as he did?
However, the speculation surrounding the former Manchester United and England player, Benitez is confident he still retains the confidence of the board.
“To be fair, I was talking with Mr Moshiri this morning. I have meetings with the chairman, with Denise, I have conversations with them and they are supporting me,” Benitez said assuredly.
“They know…I will say something I’ve said before.
“They have experience changing managers, they have experience trying to adapt things and it was not working.”
Everton face a trip to Stamford Bride to face Chelsea, with Thomas Tuchel’s side also seeing a dip in form in recent weeks, before getting back to winning ways with a 3-2 home victory against Leeds United.

Twitter users have reacted while Rafa Benitez issues a brutal message to fans as he fights for his Everton future…
@toffeebyrne: Everything he says just makes me want to stick pins into my eyes. Get. Out. Of. Our. Club
@CBobblers1878: We’ve had the special one, the chosen one however Rafa Benitez is most definitely the Teflon one. I dont know any other manager that would of survived what he has in terms of results. He then somehow seems to grow stronger in position rather than weaker.
@toffeedoug: Watching Everton under Benitez is more difficult than I expected.☹
@ruthergears21: But he knows the city and his friend’s tell him all the time.
@terrymcallister: Ancelotti found it easier. Guess it’s about how good you are as a manager.
@funnyevertonian: Wish Rafa Benitez would fuck clean off out of our football club!
@EvertonBlueArmy: It’s depressing how much I hate almost every single person working at the shitshow of a football club that is Everton. Unlikeable and braindead Board of Directors, unlikeable Managers at all levels, a majority unlikeable first team squad. How fucking miserable.
@robbie1878: that list of things we need best be starting
1 New DoF
2 New manager.
@PCorner01: What we need before January is a new manager , Chairman and CEO 🖕🖕
@Kavanini1878: There can be no unity with him in charge, I wasn’t against his appointment but the lack of apparent effort on away days is alarming. He then makes excuses for pathetic displays.
@Jordinho88: Farhad Moshiri has honestly destroyed this club We are a complete laughing stock because of him making continous terrible decisions and he doesnt seem to be learning anytime soon!
