QPR fan shouts ‘F*** Millwall’ during minute silence before Millwall fans start making noise

A QPR fan goes viral after he shouts ‘F*** Millwall’ during a minute silence before Millwall fans start making noise, leading to boos.

A minute’s silence was held at Loftus Road for the people of Turkey and Syria, following the devastating earthquake last week.

The earthquake death toll rises above 35,000 as the number of survivors pulled from the rubble drops to a handful.

The EFL wrote ahead of the match: “Through our official charity partnership with the British Red Cross, the EFL is supporting the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Appeal to help those impacted by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

“Fans can donate here: DEC Turkey-Syria earthquake appeal | British Red Cross

“To help raise awareness of the campaign and as a mark of respect to those who have tragically lost their lives, all EFL Clubs will wear black armbands and hold a minute’s silence at their fixtures this weekend (Friday 10 – Saturday 11 February).”

However, one fan took it upon himself to shout out ‘F*** Millwall’, with the moment filmed and put on social media.

The condemnation started with a huge number of Twitter users taking to have their say, with the clip now being viewed over 70,000 times.

Millwall’s Duncan Watmore won his first Millwall start, as they beat QPR to finish fifth in the Championship.

Watmore, a January sign from Middlesbrough was the goal scorer for the Lions at Loftus Road, half an hour after they had won their London derby.

Oliver Burke, a Millwall substitute, doubled their lead 12 minutes later with a close-range goal.

Rangers debutant Chris Martin gave his team hope when he headed in Ilias Chair’s cross. But the visitors held firm.

QPR’s Neil Critchley:

“I’ve questioned the mentality of the players after previous defeats, but not today. I felt we more than contributed to a good derby game. It wasn’t a lack of effort or application today. We just conceded two really poor goals and the cheap goals we gave away had a huge bearing on the game. Millwall found a way to win the game and we’re not doing that at this point in time.

“We’re not in a good run of form, obviously, and I understand that questions will get asked when you lose games. If I think the players are showing a lack of appetite or not competing properly then I’ll say it, and I’ve said it previously, but today that wasn’t the case.”

Millwall’s Gary Rowett:

“That’s what Duncan’s in the team for. He took his goal really well. It was a very good finish. What I like about Duncan is that he’ll work the other way as well. He’ll chase, run and compete. He’s exactly our type of player and that’s why we felt he might give us something

“Burkey at times can be unplayable. You don’t have to be a genius to see what he gives you – he’s got absolutely blistering pace but he’s also got great quality. If he can show that quality he’s got then he could be huge for us. If you’re a wide player in our team you’ve got to work your socks off as well as provide attacking moments. We’ve got to step up in those areas and score more goals. We need that goal threat. People have to step up and provide that attacking threat.”

As mentioned, a QPR fan goes viral after shouting ‘F*** Millwall’ during minute silence before the crowd laugh and boo, this is what Twitter users said…

@JamesCotter22: Only bit of fight we’ve shown all season tbf

@Lewis_jones53: Poor from all sides.

@Mightymags_: You knew that was gonna happen, you just knew it was gonna happen

@stevelovell05b1: There will be people around him in the Stan Bowles stand that can point him out. Didn’t like the Millwall response but understood their reaction. Been watching the R’s since 1967 and didn’t think we had a ‘fan’ at this level!

@DanielMilneUK: Im completely embarrassed by this and I sincerely hope @QPR will take action against this person! Disrespectful.

@robqpr92: I know Millwall were loud during the minutes silence, but it was one of our fans shouting “Fuck off Millwall” that bought that reaction. If that person was you, you’re a knob #QPR #QPRMIL

@MilsteadMovies: There’s always one

@BL10CBL: Fair play to yours calling this out. We drown out shit like that as wont stand for it. Bet he left early and didnt try it again outside the away end though!

@DMD_QPR: Total idiot, embarrassing

@84Liam: We would never disrespect a minute silence but you say “FUCK MILLWALL” during it we are going to stick up for ourselves. It’s the way we are!

@LETSAVEIT_METTV: Shame could not respect the minute’s silence, the knob will no it was him and think he is big and cleaver and getting us to react, we shouldn’t have reacted. As a Turk myself it was hurtful, iv always respected a minutes silence/applause even if it was a rival team its respectful

@mralexfells: We are millwall! No one likes us we dont care, what a cnut this guy is also!

So much wrong with this video 🤦🏼‍♂️
1) Why use a minute’s silence as the time to shout Millwall?
2) Why are Millwall fans defending themselves with “don’t pull a lion’s tail” – just ignore it, it was one idiot embarrassing himself
3) Why is someone filming a minute’s silence?

@CaseyJerrom: Absolute bellend

@vilechelsea7: 😂😂😂😂 this is up there with that Wrexham video as far as silences go 😂

@KaneP1111: Gotta say, the geezer who done it was an idiot but it did make me laugh how loud it was 🤣

@Dariusz83307004: No one likes us, we don’t care, We are Millwall, super Millwall, We are Millwall, from the Den…

@EvansMFC: I’d be embarrassed

@veryhonestf1fan: classic qpr, expect nothing less

@Milomix_ldn: He’s got a point but there’s a time and a place, and this wasn’t it 🤦🏼‍♂️
