Preston North End are in need of a striker come January despite being the biggest scorers in the Championship so far this season.
They had their eye on Ivan Toney last year but lost out to Peterborough United, who snapped him up from Newcastle United for £650,000.
Any interest they still have for him might have disappeared now however as it’s reported by TEAMtalk that the League One side are wanting £10million for him.
He has impressed during his time with the Posh, finishing ninth place when it came to the division’s top scorers list, scoring 16 in 44 games (23 in 55 for all comps).
So far this season, he’s put the ball in the back of the net eight times in 12 matches, placing him high up amongst the top scorers once again.

Premier League clubs are said to be keen, which however is yet to be revealed. Blackburn Rovers, Bristol City, Derby County and Middlesbrough are thought to be keen, but at that price, it should be enough to put them of going for him.
Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony was asked on Twitter whether Preston have been interested in the striker, and he shot down any chance of a move to Deepdale, believing the Lilywhites would ‘never’ pay what the Posh would want for Toney.
After finding how much he’s valued at, fans took to laugh at the claims, see those comments by clicking on the next page.
