According to reports, West Ham United’s Declan Rice is pledging to switch his international allegiance from Ireland to England.
The 19 year old has played for the Irish at every age group, been capped three times for the senior team and made his debut against Turkey earlier this year.
However Starsport claim Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate has kept a close eye on him this season and even invited the midfielder to St George’s Park this month.

Rice has also been assured that if he did commit to England, then he would be fast-tracked and a key member of Southgate’s squad.
Sky Sports reported the same story recently with Ireland manager Martin O’Neill saying that he would be surprised if that was the case.

At the beginning of October, Paddy Power suspended betting on Declan Rice declaring for England.
Rice also liked this tweet from the FAI on Twitter, where O’Neill spoke about whether the player would represent Ireland again.
