A leaked video emerges online as Premier League Official Referee, David Coote, calls Jurgen Klopp an “arrogant German c***”.

A video allegedly shows Coote disrespecting Liverpool and their former manager, with it being investigated by the PGMOL.

Coote, who refereed Liverpool’s 2-0 victory at home to Aston Villa in the Premier League at the weekend, is shown in the video – which according to reports appears to be from several years ago – calling then Reds boss Klopp a ‘German ****’ and ‘f***ing arrogant’.

In a conversation with a friend, Coote was asked for his opinion on a Liverpool match, to which he responded, “Liverpool were sh*t.”

A subsequent video reveals the referee asking for the footage to remain private, a request that has clearly been ignored, despite his mate urging viewers not to jeopardise his career.

PGMOL have since confirmed: “David Coote has been suspended with immediate effect pending a full investigation. PGMOL will be making no further comment until that process is complete.”

Premier League referee David Coote at first vehemently denied inappropriate conduct and was insistent to referee chiefs PGMOL that video in which he appears is not genuine. PGMOL have tech experts examining it.

But in an update an hour later, Coote, is understood to have accepted the viral video in which in which he appears is genuine. However, it is believed he does not recall the content of the discussion, recorded several years ago.

Coote: Liverpool was sh*t.

Mate: What do you think of Jurgen Klopp?

Coote: C***. Absolutely.

Mate: What what would you what would you say? Why would you say that Jurgen Klopp was a c***?

Coote: Aside from having a right pop at me when I reffing them against Burnley in lockdown, then he accused me of lying and then just had a right fucking pop at me, and I’ve got no interest in speaking to somebody who’s fucking arrogant, so I do my best not to speak to him. Milner’s alright. I get on with Milner.

Mate: James Milner. He gets on with James Milner.

Coote: You can see me there with mask on.

Mate: Yeah. Mask on, obviously.

Coote: Yeah. Because gotta be done.  Social social distancing. Right? We’re two metres apart.

Mate:  We do we we have to social distance.

Coote: Yeah. So but oh my god. German c*** fuck me.

Mate: Long story short, Jurgen Klopp’s a c***.  Liverpool are all fucking bellends, and we hate Scousers.

Coote: Right. Right. Just to be clear, that fucking last video can’t go anywhere. Seriously.

Mate: He’s a Premier League referee. Let’s not let’s not fucking ruin his career. Like, let’s face it. We’re we’re good blokes, but we can’t ruin a bloke’s career. Like, we’re not that bad. Also, he’s a fucking legend.

Coote: So yeah.

FWIW, David Coote was on VAR when:
Man Utd’s goal v LFC at Old Trafford wasn’t overturned after a foul on Origi.
Pickford didn’t get sent off for his foul on VVD.
Rodri didn’t get penalised for his handball against Everton.
Odegaard got away with handball at Anfield.
